The cause of Grand Theft Auto IV leaked out and it comes from the immediate rival of the Xbox 360, The Playstation 3. Its believed it is coming from the struggle of the development for the PS3. This is definitely frustrating for hard core GTA / Xbox 360 fans. "Due to contractual obligations that will have prevented the publisher from releasing the game first on Microsoft's machine, says the analyst." The Rockstar group seemed to fail to realize the reality of how hard it is to build a very complicated game on the PS3 and had to delay the release as a result.

IGN: If Urdnot Wrex isn't in your party, how important will the Krogan be to the overall storyline?
Casey Hudson: Each of the main species in Mass Effect has an extensive backstory that has a strong influence on the story. And since your team will consist of humans and aliens, each character brings a unique perspective to what you're doing. Sometimes, differences in opinion can lead to situations that will challenge your relationships with certain squadmates, possibly leading to life-and-death situations.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is getting a public multiplayer beta this month, giving players a chance to try out what promises to be some of the most intense online combat of the year.

Australia's Premier Gaming Website (their words) Gameplayer has confirmed with a representative from Activision Australia that the forthcoming demo will be exclusive to the United States. This means Europe, the UK, Australia and New Zealand will not be coming to the party. I'm guessing that this will also mean that US accounts overseas won't be able to access the beta as well. Certainly not good news for anyone that I cannot drive to visit, but I suppose they have their reasons. We'll let you know how it turns out!
Grab your Christmas wishlists and your giant red Sharpie, as Take-Two Interactive has revealed that Grand Theft Auto IV for the Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3 has been delayed until April 2008 at the earliest. The game was originally scheduled to ship in the middle of October, but "due to additional development time required to complete the title" the game has been pushed back.
Strauss Zelnick, Chairman of Take-Two clarified in a statement that "Certain elements of development proved to be more time-intensive than expected, especially given the commitment for a simultaneous release on two very different platforms."
Adding additional financial stress to Take-Two was updated guidance, with Manhunt 2 for Wii, PlayStation 2 and PSP moved out of fiscal 2007 altogether, with no new release date provided.

Microsoft, Nintendo, and the ESA are performing raids due to cracking down on selling of modchips that allow the breach of security in consoles that enable the system to boot counterfeit / unsigned code software. The raid is being named "Operation Tangled Web". Its main target is retailers selling modchips on the internet for Miscrosoft, Sony, and Nintendo game systems. The law has already executed 32 search warrants in 20 localities across the US in 24 hours.
Their reasoning behind the raid on modchip is "Modification chips or "mod-chips" are typically installed in video game console systems to circumvent the technological protection measures and enable the user to play pirated game software. These chips, as well as other circumvention devices, are illegal under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA)."
