Battlefield 3 is set to be released on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC this Fall. Several standout features that have defined Battlefield 2 are returning to the fold, including jets, the ability to go prone, and the announcement of 64-player multiplayer on PC.
Battlefield 3 includes a full single-player campaign and co-op campaign all straight out of the box and is built with DICE's powerful new game engine Frostbite 2.
Information from a leaked advertisement has also surfaced and has revealed the Battlefield 3 Limited Edition version will come with a FREE expansion pack titled "Back to Karkand".
This themed expansion pack features four legendary maps from Battlefield 2, boldly remastered with Frostbite 2 physics, destruction, and visuals. Completing the package are classic Battlefield 2 weapons and vehicles, unique rewards, new achievements/trophies and more.
Those of you who DONT buy the Limited Edition version will have to wait at-least one month before gaining access to the extra DLC.
