For the first time in Star Wars history, players can become a Rancor, the monster Luke Skywalker battles beneath Jabba the Hutt’s throne room in Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi. Through the power of Kinect for Xbox 360, players will control the Rancor with intuitive body movements like stomping, charging, roaring, and jumping. As the Rancor, players can grab, toss, and eat Jawas, stormtroopers, droids and other enemies, plus pull TIE fighters out of the sky, fight AT-STs, and destroy everything in sight.
Previously shown content for Kinect Star Wars included the Jedi and Podracing modes. First revealed at Comic-Con 2011, the Podracing game mode challenges players to race alongside the surviving participants of the Boonta Eve Classic in memorable Pods and other unlockable vehicles from the Star Wars universe.

Microsoft will no longer be offering the glossy outer shell on select Xbox 360 consoles in favor of a black matte finish.
You may have heard last week that Microsoft is changing the outer finish of the Xbox 360 250GB consoles from a glossy black to a matte black finish, similar to the current Xbox 360 4GB model.
Some of the news outlets that covered it mentioned having a choice between matte and glossy Xbox 360s this holiday.
I wanted to set the record straight and let everyone know that that is not the case.
We are actively transitioning all our Xbox 360 S consoles to a matte finish. The consoles will start to arrive in stores over the coming weeks, so if you really love the idea of a glossy console don’t wait much longer.
Of course, we still may offer a gloss finish on Limited Edition consoles like the upcoming Gears of War 3 Console, but if you have your eye on a glossy black console you don’t have much time left.

The single-player campaign from Epic Games' upcoming Gears of War 3 has made its way onto torrent sites over 2 months before its official launch date.
According to a NeoGAF forum thread which revealed a bunch of YouTube videos, the developer build of Gears of War 3 has been leaked online. The leaked version of the game is a JTAG only version, meaning that it will only play on a modded Xbox 360 or XDK Console, and apparently contains the full single-player and all the multiplayer options. Some missions at the end of the single-player campaign seem to be missing.
The NFO from the leak reads:
This is a developer copy (Not completly final) of the game with achievements, Single Player/Coop Campaign and System Link Multiplayer (See you online
on XLink Kai ^^). Some missions at the end of the campaign seam to be missing - so decide for yourself if you want to wait for the retail or not!
With the game not being officially released until September 20th, news reports of the leak are urging gamers to stay away, both to avoid the spoilers and as a mark of respect for Epic.
In other words, stay away from YouTube unless you are absolutely desperate to ruin the game for yourself before it gets out.
Developed by Epic Games, Gears of War 3 is available for pre-order today in three distinct editions – Standard ($59.99 USD), Limited ($79.99) and Epic ($149.99). Gears of War 3 will officially launch September 20th.
