Achievements, those little time suckers. But if you think on it, it adds a great deal of replayability to a game. Without achievements you would just play thru the game, and if you’re like me put it on your shelve, that houses your collection of 360 games. Left to collect dust, and perhaps get pulled out when company shows up. My first thought of achievements, was the fact they were pointless bragging rights for people with too much time on their hands. But as time went on, I found myself checking our xbox 360 achievements database, to see what I have to do, to get that next achievement.
Now seeing as how I love my achievements, and how they have affected my style of gaming. I’m wondering what the members of our forums that have been banned feel about achievements? Do you still care about achievements due to the fact you might be saving up for a new console to get back on live. Or do you feel since your banned, achievements mean nothing to you. Or perhaps do you still strive to get them, just since achievements bring replayabililty to the game?

Shane Kim, coporate vice president of Microsoft Game Studios, has described the participation from the Halo 3 beat as "staggering"
Shane Kim, went on to say this: Witnessing such a great reaction to a small portion of the game has been inspiring. It's a testament to the fervour and anticipation that surrounds Halo 3. We're confident that on Sept. 25 Halo 3 will drive an unprecedented wave of new gamers to the Xbox 360 platform and Xbox Live".
Microsoft has said that, thanks to the "tremendous participation in the beta, Bungie now has an exhaustive amount of data that will be used to improve the overall game experience". Knowing we've made a difference makes us feel all warm and glowy inside.
Now remember 360-hq.com has an open contest involving the Halo 3 beta. Best part you can win an Xcm Xfps 360 Pro. Big thanks to http://www.consoleshop.com. Its quite simple sign up for our forums and post your thoughts of the beta.
Its well known that the 360 is one hot running machiene. I like to think of it as my hot little momma. Well there are reports of 360's coming back from repair with an additional heatsink affixed to the gpu heatsink.
My first thoughts upon seeing this the other day, was it was a 3rd party addon. Now if they are putting these on boxes with rol's, why not offer up some kind of program, ie send in your box and get it done. They should fix their problem, not just on 360s that have it, but all to prevent this from ever happening. One can wish I suppose.
Now with the following pictures it put more life to this rumor and lets hope it turns into fact.
The internet is a buzz about ubisoft's latest press release about the America's Army Xbox 360 Exclusive..
The multiplayer feature is a key feature of America's Army: True Soldiers with eight maps developed by Red Storm Entertainment and full Xbox LIVE online gaming service Clan support, so teams will be able to quickly jump online and compete. Players will immerse themselves within the true infantry experience of a modern Soldier via the graphical prowess of the Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Warfighter 2 game engine. As a Soldier in single-player mode, advance through your career and take on roles such as Rifleman, Grenadier, Automatic Rifleman and Sniper. Red Storm and the Army are working together to make sure that the America's Army: True Soldiers gameplay experience is an authentic Army experience.
The America's Army: True Soldiers game accurately portrays the values that guide Soldiers in the U.S. Army, by specifically incorporating gameplay based on mission accomplishment, teamwork, leadership, rules of engagement and respect for life and property. Just like in real combat, honor and respect must be earned, and in the game, the Play-Lead-Recruit feature allows players to earn respect as they move up through the ranks and become true leaders. Teammates can award points to other team members who play honorably and jump in when the mission is on the line.
"America's Army is a strong brand, and coupled with Red Storm Entertainment's next-gen expertise, Ubisoft and the Army are set to deliver a solid and authentic Army experience," said Tony Key, vice president of marketing at Ubisoft. "Red Storm has done an unbelievable job over the years with military action titles and we're excited to have them work in partnership with the U.S. Army to develop America's Army: True Soldiers."
