Crytek GmbH has announced the acquisition of the intellectual property rights for the "Homefront" video game franchise following an auction of assets by THQ Inc.
Crytek's association with the Homefront IP began in autumn 2011, when the developer announced it would be creating the second game in the series in partnership with THQ Inc. Following THQ’s recent decision to file for chapter 11 bankruptcy and the subsequent sale of the publisher’s assets, Crytek submitted the high bid at auction to secure the rights to the Homefront franchise.
THQ's Metro: Last Light, the hugely anticipated sequel to 2010's cult classic Metro 2033, is now available to pre-order from the THQ Store and select retailers including Amazon.com, for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC.
Initial copies of "Metro: Last Light" will be sold as a Limited Edition packed with exclusive content. To guarantee the free upgrade to the Limited Edition, Metro: Last Light is now available to pre-order from the THQ Store and select retailers, including Amazon.com, Best Buy, EB Games, GameStop and Walmart.com for an SRP of $59.99 on console and PC.
The Metro: Last Light Limited Edition will include a standard retail copy of the game with ‘Ranger Mode,’ the fan-favorite game type from Metro 2033 that represents the ultimate, immersive Metro experience. Additionally, the Limited Edition includes the Ranger load-out, containing bonus military grade bullets to spend on weapon upgrades and equipment, and the deadly AKS-74U modified Russian rifle.
This week, Microsoft announced that the Xbox Live Fan Appreciation Sale, with a wide variety of games and DLC content, is now active on Xbox LIVE.

Go to My Xbox, and select your gamertag.
Select Change Gamertag.
Note the Price of the change, and then select Enter New Gamertag or Get Suggestions to view possible gamertags.
Once you enter or select a new gamertag, select Yes, use this gamertag.

How to Install:
1. Download the file "360-HQ_Desktop_Gadget_v0.5.zip" to your computer
2. Unzip the Desktop Gadget onto your desktop using winzip or winrar.
3. Double click the .gadget installer to start the install.
4. When the popup occurs you must click "yes" to install
5. Once it has installed and is now displayed on your desktop click on the settings icon (the spanner)
6. Enter your Xbox LIVE gamertag
7. Now choose the style of Xbox LIVE Gamercard to display.
8. Done!
Just remember, if you don't like our desktop gadget you can easily uninstall it at anytime.
WINDOWS 8 USERS:
Gadgets are still available in Windows 8 but you must first follow Team Window 8's simple tutorial to get them to work. You can view the Windows 8 Gadget tutorial here.
