Major Nelson is in San Francisco today where Microsoft is hosting it's X10 media event. Check out the list of upcoming games and updated release dates.
The X10 media event is an invite only event which gives our media friends the chance to hear some news, get updates on some of the upcoming games and (more importantly) get hands on time with some of the titles.
Here, in no specific order, are 10 things you need to know coming out of X10 today:
The "Halo Reach" multiplayer beta will kick off on May 3. You will be able to access the beta via the Halo 3: ODST game disc.
"Dead Rising 2" will release in North America on Aug. 31, Japan on Sept. 2 and Europe on Sept. 3.
Dead Rising: CASE ZERO an exclusive download only on Xbox LIVE, will launch prior to the full game and provide a playable prologue that bridges the story between the two titles.
"Alan Wake" will launch May 18 in North America and May 21 in Europe. Players can pre-order the title to receive the Bright Falls Bonus Pack, which includes exclusive content like Avatar gear, an Xbox LIVE theme, and a “making of” video.
The Xbox 360 "Final Fantasy XIII" Special Edition Bundle will release starting March 9 for $399, and include a 250GB Hard Drive, two Wireless Controllers, exclusive downloadable content and a Standard Edition copy of the game.
"Toy Soldiers" will kick off the Xbox LIVE Arcade Block Party on March 3
Perfect Dark, Scrap Metal and Game Room will launch this March as a part of the Xbox LIVE Arcade Block Party.
"Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction" will release at retailers starting April 13 in North America, April 16 in the United Kingdom, and April 28 in Japan.
"Lost Planet 2" will launch in North America and Europe on May 18.

They will also be forced to answer a question: What would you sacrifice to secure the crown of Albion? In the epic story of “Fable III,” the journey to rule the throne of Albion begins five decades after the events of the last chapter, and you play as the child of your hero from “Fable II.” As you rule your kingdom as king or queen, you will be called upon to make choices and sacrifices that will test your morality and can affect your entire kingdom. Themes of heroism, leadership and consequence are taken to a grand scale as you fight to unite a divided people.
The next Xbox 360 update is only just around the corner and we know Microsoft Studios are launching their new Xbox 360 "Games on Demand" service and some other cool updates but we haven't seen a full list of titles and features available until now.. Check out the full list below.

Microsoft announced that this week's Xbox Live deal is the Knothole Island game add-on for Fable II. Normally available for 800 Microsoft Points, this premium download for Fable II can now be purchased for 560 Microsoft Points. Below is the official description for this DLC:

Meet Gordon the submariner in the Bowerstone docks, where you'll be showered with unique gifts to entice you to the mysterious island. I for one love this game and have been unable to pass up any of the add-ons so far so you know i got to have this one, and at 560 MS points how can you pass it up.

2008 was a banner year for Xbox LIVE Arcade titles and were going to kick off the Second Annual Arcade Awards on March 3rd. The cool thing is this year, you get to cast your votes directly on your Xbox 360 within NXE.
The voting starts on Tuesday, March 3 at 2:00 A.M. Pacific Time (10:00 A.M. GMT), and ends Tuesday, March 10 at 3:59 P.M. PT (11:59 P.M. GMT).
Not sure what game to vote for ? Each Arcade title has a free demo to give you a taste of the action. To get you started, here are the categories and nominees:
How to Vote
1. From your Xbox LIVE console, locate the Arcade Awards Voting Application slot in the Spotlight or Game Marketplace channel, and then press A to download the application.
2. Once the application has finished downloading, launch the application in either of the following ways:
In Spotlight or Game Marketplace, navigate to the slot image that now says Vote Now instead of Download Now, and then press A.
In your Game Library, browse Game Demos and Trials to locate and launch the application.;
3. Select your favorite arcade game in any or all of the nine different categories, and then select the appropriate button below:
