With Microsoft getting ready to start this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo on Monday, July 14 2008, all Xbox 360 gamers will be on the look out for the full list of upcoming games from E3. The guys over at IGN have put up their own wish-lists. Read on and follow the link for the full story.
The team at IGN want these 10 games to be featured prominently. So if you're reading MS, this one's for you.
According to IGN, company chairman Zelnick made the announcement towards the end of a quarterly financial conference call on Thursday and said: "It’s unlikely the picture would be released coincident with BioShock 2. It's more likely it would be released coincident with BioShock 3."
Take-Two confirmed in March that a sequel to the 2007 Xbox 360 and PC game BioShock was in development at 2K Marin, and slated for release in Q4 of the publisher’s fiscal year 2009.
BioShock received numerous Game of the Year awards during 2007 and was hailed for, among other things, its rich visual detail and Art Deco style. Set in an underworld utopia gone wrong, the creepy shooter really struck a chord with reviewers, earning the Xbox 360 version of the title a MetaCritic rating of 96. It has sold more than 2 million units worldwide since releasing in August 2007 and a sequel is planned for release in 2009.
If you happen to be waiting for the Fallout 3 demo then you can now stop holding your breath and make due with a screen-shot and this teaser trailer.
Looks like Bethesda’s Peter Hines has gone on record as saying a demo at this point is just not possible for this free roam game as you can see in his statement below.
“When you build it as one thing, there’s no way to portion off a section and have it stand on its own without putting the whole game in the demo, which we’re just not going to do,” he said,
“And it doesn’t really capture the fun of a game like an Elder Scrolls or a Fallout, where you can go where you want and do what you want. So no demo, sorry.”
To bad really since research has shown that a good demo can really impact the over all sales of a video game, lets hope it don't come back and bite them in the butt.
Then again since the game seems to have a good fan base already and a bit of a Bioshock feel I'm sure they will do fine over all.
"Bioshock" was one of the biggest games of 07 and has taken an obscene amount of awards and titles for everything from game play to sound track.
It comes as no surprise that a game of this caliber will be getting a sequel or that 2K will be trying to keep the original staff together for this game.
One of the big names that made this game such a hit is Ken Levine and when asked Strauss Zelnick said: "Ken is a terrific asset in the company, and he's a brilliant game developer. ... He will be working on Bioshock 2 and he will be working on a new IP."
"A lot of the work will be done at 2K Marin, but that's not to say Ken is not involved. He's critical to Bioshock,"
With Bioshock being such a big hit i for one am unsure of what could be done to really shake up the game this time around but lets hope the 2K team doesn't have the same problem.
Guess what game just won Eight more awards, this time for sound quality.
If you said BioShock then you obviously read the title to this news post or you know that BioShock has been on a hot streak for quite some time.
At the 6th annual G.A.N.G. Awards BioShock cleaned house in 8 categories like Audio of the Year, Music of the Year and Sound Design of the Year.
With a ton of awards from all over and every film studio trying to get movie rights to this game i would say a part 2 is a sure thing and i would hope they have the common since to keep the same crew at any cost.

Since Take-Two released the award winning game Bioshock, a flood of production companies, studios, and agencies have been chomping at the bit to turn out a Bioshock movie.
Take-Two hasn’t accepted a offers for a film based on the game so far, but the door for this project project is still open.
If you cant seem to hang on till Take-two makes up its mind about the production of Bioshock the movie, then this might help you hold on.
Crytek boss Cevat Yerli, confirmed that a Crysis movie is in the cards and talks for the project are ongoing.
“A Crysis movie is definitely planned,” he said. “We are in active talks already. I think we will close this topic before the end of this year.”
With no more details to work with about the movie we move on to Yerli who made the comment "Crysis 2 was currently being evaluated, but nothing could be said on the matter at this stage."
So it wold seem we can look for a box office year in the video game industry.
BioShock is current tied with the Orange Box as best rated title for Xbox 360, so it's no surprise that the game did incredibly well at the recently announced Spike TV Video Game Awards.
BioShock took home three prizes for the night: Game of the Year, Best Xbox 360 Title as well as winning for Best Original Score.
Halo 3 was honored too, taking home two awards -- for Best Multiplayer Game and the quite whorishly titled Most Addictive Video Game Fueled By Dew. The producers really oughta be ashamed for that one.
