Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Headset Details

Microsoft has finally released some in-depth details regarding their Wireless Headset
The headset is going to be using the same wireless radio technology that the current wireless controllers use and will have a range of up to 30 feet. Currently the 360 can handle 4 headsets and 4 wireless controllers, now i'm not sure whether you would in fact have to sacrifice a wireless controller for one wireless headset going on the fact that they use the same 2.4GHz radio technology.
As for the battery life on the
Wireless Headsets, they are saying 8 hours which seems quite good although for us hardcore gamers this maybe a little short. Especially due to the fact in order to charge them up each headset needs to be plugged into an AC adapter. Which they all come supplied with.
No details as yet as to how long a full charge will take and whether a
Play & Charge option will be available.
Microsoft are also quoted in saying that the voice quality is a
dramatic improvement over the wired headsets and that they will also support '
Microsoft Voice Command' for certain games.
As for a release date, its looking like around the end of October with a price tag of $59.99(us) and £34.99 respectively.
