Path of Exile: Echoes of the Atlas, the next major expansion for Grinding Gear Games’ popular action RPG Path of Exile, delivers new end-game content, a new challenge league, new skills, and a new pinnacle boss simply known as The Maven later this month on Xbox, PlayStation and PC.
Path of Exile: Echoes of the Atlas will test the mettle of players brave enough to face its many challenges. The Maven is hungry to witness the player’s fight for survival against the Atlas’ most dangerous enemies. Slaying three map bosses in her presence will earn players a summons to her realm where she will request they defeat these bosses simultaneously. Then four bosses. Then five bosses, then six until players are finally able to defeat ten at the same time. Once this incredible feat of strength is shown, that’s when The Maven will challenge combatants herself.
As players prove their worth, they’ll take control of their Atlas by unlocking regional passive trees. Content they encounter and rewards received will be augmented while exploring various regions. New end-game rewards include three types of Craftable Watchstones that allow players to upgrade their Atlas and boost rewards found from maps. These new Craftable Watchstones can be traded, do not expire with use, and their benefits are stackable, making them superior to regular Watchstones. Another new end-game reward, called The Maven’s Orb, is able to randomly upgrade items that have two or more influence modifiers. While one of these influence modifiers will be upgraded, the others will be removed, so choose wisely. If a modifier that’s being upgraded has already reached its highest tier, it’ll be upgraded to a new elevated tier. A total of 13 new unique items and a number of Divination Cards can be earned in Echoes of the Atlas.

Paradox Interactive has announced that MegaCorp, the latest addition to Stellaris: Console Edition’s third expansion pass, will be available for budding titans of industry starting January 26th. Secure funding for your corporation by viewing the brand new story trailer!
MegaCorp will grant console gamers the power to usher their federation into a new era of opulence and luxury or poverty and corporate slavery on a galactic scale. Watch the brand new story trailer below and read on to learn more.
Exciting new innovations included in MegaCorp include:
Corporate Culture: Bigwigs and C-suite execs of a MegaCorp can conduct business on a galaxy-wide scale with a host of new civics. By constructing Branch Offices on planets within empires they have trade agreements with, the MegaCorp can add a portion of the planet’s Trade Value to their own network. Using the new Corporate Authority government type, build a financial powerhouse and dominate galactic trade.
City World: With Ecumenopolis, players can increase the population density of core worlds to proportions that are “too big to fail”, eventually creating a megacity spanning multiple planets.
Caravaneer Fleets: Watch out for those pesky Caravaneers, nomadic traders who walk the fine line between salesman and scammer. These slippery wheelers-and-dealers stay aloof from galactic politics and always have a sales trick up their sleeve. Expect surprises when these master barterers wander through your space or when you visit their home systems.
More Megastructures: The finance department has approved the budget for your own glorious Matter Decompressor, Mega-Art Installation or Strategic Coordination Center! You’ve got the green light to use these to acquire new scaling capabilities for your megalopolis.
Galactic Slave Market: Acquire and dispose of labor on an industrial scale. Grant them freedom or keep them as livestock - it’s up to you!
VIP Status Comes with its Perks: Keep your economy competitive in a cutthroat galaxy with additional Ascension perks.
Advisors and music: 3 Additional Advisors and 4 music tracks to help you conquer the Galaxy.
The “Hot Tracks” major update for the military online action War Thunder is now available bringing new visual effects for ground and naval vehicles, the Italian helicopter tech tree, legendary battlecruisers Von der Tann and HMS Invincible, as well as a many other new military vehicles.
The new caterpillar tracks on War Thunderarmoured vehicles consist of separate segments, each of which has physically accurate properties. When passing over humps and potholes, the caterpillar bounces on the wheels. During acceleration and braking, it tightens or whips, and also sways for some time after the vehicle stops. When a shell hits a track, the track breaks exactly at the segment where the impact hit. If a tank drifts on stone or concrete, or turns sharply on asphalt, the all-metal track will give off a sheaf of metal sparks. The update currently brings new tracks for selected popular ground vehicles, while others will get the upgrade later.
The previous major update brought new fire effects for aviation, this time ground and naval guns got a similar overhaul. The Dagor Engine that powers War Thundernow also generates small landscape-native objects, like rocks, pebbles, debris, plants, moss, mushrooms, placed on the scene using only the GPU to make the landscape look more natural. All these visual updates would probably be better to test using one of the new ground vehicles, i.e. the long-awaited top Chinese ZTZ99 MBT or the Japanese ST-A3 medium tank with an auto reloading mechanism.
The new Italian helicopter tech tree enters the game and introduces three machines. Although the AB 205 A-1 is just a modification of the well-known US UH-1H “Huey” helicopter, both the A109 EOA-2 and the A129CBT Mangusta are great examples of Italian engineering original design. Mangusta is especially interesting because it was the first attack helicopter both designed and produced in Western Europe. Nowadays it’s a part of the Italian and Turkish armies' arsenal and has been deployed in Afghanistan and Iraq. The Mangusta is armed with a 20mm autocannon and carries a good arsenal of both guided and unguided weapons, including Stinger air-to-air missiles and Hellfire II ATGM’s.
Jet fans are also getting several signature machines, like the Buccaneer S.2 “Banana” attack jet, the carrier-based A-7 Corsair II attack jet (one of the first US aircraft with a HUD) and the F-84F Thunderstreak fighter jet. Fun Fact: Richard Bach, author of the ‘Jonathan Livingston Seagull’ novella, was a pilot in the F-84F Thunderstreak during his service in Europe.
The blue-water navy in War Thunder has gained two ships that participated in the Battle of Jutland, which was the greatest World War 1 naval battle.
