World of Warships: Legends (@WoWs_Legends) announced the arrival of Legendary Tier ships with a new feature to unlock them, the full release of Russian Battleships and the new "Sword of the Pacific" campaign in the May 18 update.
The first Tier VII premium destroyer is featured as the final reward in the new "Sword of the Pacific" campaign: Yūdachi. She served in many of the early Pacific battles during World War II, and eventually earned the nickname "Nightmare of Solomon" for her actions in the Guadalcanal campaign. In-game, she is a stealthy destroyer with excellent torpedoes and a torpedo reload booster consumable, more than backing up her historical reputation. Players will have 5 weeks to finish the 90-levels of the campaign, earning plenty of Boosters, consumables and more along the way!
The new Legendary Tier ships are unlocked via a new feature, the Bureau. In essence, the Bureau gives players the ability to research ships and other rewards over time by playing the game daily. The research can be boosted by completing daily trials and assigning specific ships to the project, Most importantly, the only way to get command of one of the powerful Legendary Tier ships is by completing projects in the Bureau. Players will be able to start working on unlocking their first Legendary Tier ship after short introductory project, putting them on the way to the end-game of World of Warships: Legends - the Yamato, Alaska, and Großer Kurfürst will be the first three Legendary Tier ships available. These ships should be considered long-term goals for players, it will take a couple of months to complete a project.
These three ships are very powerful and pretty unique in their abilities. Yamato, for example, excels in medium to long range combat thanks to her immense 18-inch guns and armor scheme. However, Yamato can be surprisingly vulnerable at close ranges due to her armor weak spots—which is precisely where the other Legendary Tier Battleship, Großer Kurfürst, excels. This German behemoth is built for brawling combat with extensive armor protection and hit points. Alaska, the only cruiser in this Legendary Trio, is probably the most unique ship out of the bunch. Her punchy 12-inch guns—the largest on any cruiser in the game—put Alaska into a league of her own.
The Russian fleet is complete at last, as the Russian Battleships are leaving early access this update. They bring a lot of firepower into battle, though they don't have the best accuracy at long range. Skilled captains must use their heavy armor to get close before delivering devastating blows. The full release of the Russian battleships includes the Tier VII Vladivostok, the most modern battleship available to the Russian tech tree. Vladivostok has excellent firing angles and armor, but like most of the Russian behemoths she isn't very maneuverable and has a large citadel.
Wargaming also revealed that there are 3 new maps on the way: Greece, Northern Waters, and Crash Zone for high tier battles. All this comes with UI improvements, new fire effects for ships, and balance changes! Players will be able to begin unlocking powerful unique ships along with other rewards throughout the new update, and there are a bunch of balance changes and maps coming too. There's a lot coming to World of Warships: Legendsthis update.

Invasions, the next expansion to the hit 4X strategy game Age of Wonders: Planetfall, will be available May 26 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Invasions introduces a brand new playable faction, expanded worlds, unique and formidable challenges, and alternate playstyles.
Invasions puts players at the forefront of tactical conquest and apocalyptic thrill in the most expansive addition to Age of Wonders: Planetfall yet. Planetfall initially stations players among shattered military factions on an untamed planet. In Invasions, players switch roles into the conqueror’s chair and deploy as the Shakarn, a race of vicious lizardmen ready to deceive, disrupt, and destroy everything in their path to universal domination. Invasions also introduces the Therians, a mysterious faction of anthropomorphic NPCs who combined their DNA with that of animals to catalyze their evolution. Diplomacy and dispute resolution are twice as delicate with two new factions in play.
Planetfall’s world is bigger and better than ever before. Two entirely new campaign maps have been introduced, as well as a juggernaut-style game mode where players team up to challenge a single player with a vast empire on a conquered world. Invasions also brings a host of unpredictable environmental events to the game, with everything from pirate invasions to superstorms to solar flares. Finally, players face the ultimate late-game challenge as the enigmatic Voidbringers use trans-dimensional warfare to rain down legions of enthralled soldiers across their empires. When the Invasions arrive, Planetfall will never be the same.
The World of Warships: Legends April update introduces two new Campaigns, two new seasons of Ranked Battles, and a host of new features and more. Check out the official update overview trailer and learn all about the new ships, campaigns, ranked battles, and more.
The Russian Destroyers are now fully released, meaning players can research their way through them to the Tier VII Tashkent. These ships are quite interesting; unlike most destroyers, they focus on their abilities as a gunboat rather than stealth and torpedo armament. Like the Russian cruisers, they have flat-shooting guns designed to work best at their maximum range. Staying at this range works well for the destroyers, giving them time to dodge incoming fire with their tremendous speed. After adding in some short-ranged torpedoes, the Russian gunboats are perfect for high-risk, high-reward gameplay.
Speaking of high-risk, high-reward–the Russian Battleships are here in early access, due to be fully released next update. They bring heavy red artillery to the sea, and will contest the German battleships for the spot of best brawler. The guns on these brawlers are only accurate at close range and they are heavily armored, making them great at pushing the enemy. However, they will take massive damage if caught broadside on, so careful positioning is required! Players will be able to sail in these behemoths by opening Soviet crates, which can be earned in the campaigns.
