I cant wait to see what the have for us and just hope its not more modes of the same Mutiplayer stuff, heres to the hope they find a way to make the online play feel less like random luck and more like skill.
Now that GTA IV has been on the shelves for some time and the hype has slowed down you would think the chances of some one blaming the game for a crime would go away but reuters.com is reporting that a teen in BANGKOK is blaming the game for why he tried to rob a taxi and ended in the drivers death.
Reuters reported: "He said he wanted to find out if it was as easy in real life to rob a taxi as it was in the game," chief police investigator Veeravit Pipattanasak told Reuters.
The youth, described by his parents as polite and diligent, was arrested late on Saturday after he was found trying to steer a cab backwards out of a Bangkok street with the severely wounded driver in the back seat, newspapers reported.
The suspect told police he did not mean to kill the driver, whom he had chosen as a possible victim because of his age, but that he stabbed him to death when he fought back, newspapers reported.
"Grand Theft Auto", now available in its fourth edition, has been criticized for depicting violence including beatings, carjackings, drive-by shootings, drunk driving and prostitution."
It would seem the actions of this one man has caused the halt of GTA IV sales in Thailand all together and sparked a law suit against the distributer of GTA IV here in the states.
In an age ware no one is to blame for there own actions and there is always some one to blame only one question remains and that would be: If we did get all violent games pulled from the shelves would we go right back to blaming movies or would we start to see the real truth in the fact we only have our selves to blame for our actions?
With 10 million copy's sold Call of Duty 4 has moved in to an exclusive league that vary few games have or will ever make it to, games like Guitar Hero III, Halo 3, and Grand Theft Auto IV and with a bit of luck maybe Call Of Duty 5 will join the club if producer Tryarch can reproduce the Inifinity Ward magic.
Cnet reported that "Infinity Ward studio head Vince Zampella didn't know exactly how many units the game had sold on each platform it is available on--the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC--but did say that COD 4 had been most successful on the Xbox."
The out look for the COD series is good but Cnet reported "Zampella acknowledged that COD 4 has set the bar very high for his studio, and it's hard to imagine Infinity Ward being able to come right back with another 10 million-seller but, COD 4 still has some juice left. He suggested that the game is still selling, that it's map pack add-on has sold 1.5 million copies, and that the main game itself is expected to sell a lot more copies this holiday season.
In a report by eurogamer.net Chart-Track said Sales of Xbox 360 consoles are 18 per cent ahead of the PlayStation 3 in the UK since the launch of Grand Theft Auto IV.
"Official GTA IV sales figures for the first four weeks also reveal that the Xbox 360 is the format of choice for UK gamers, with 57 per cent of the total sales of the game on 360, compared to 43 per cent on PS3."
GTA IV has sold like hotcakes in the UK and almost sold as many copy's as FIFA-08 which is amazing considering how much the UK enjoys its soccer and the fact that FIFA was launched on every platform available.
according to Chart-Track 750,000 copy's of GTA IV have sold in the UK for the 360 alone and 570,000 on PS3.
Chart-Track also reported that "the effect on driving hardware sales has also been more dramatic on 360 than PS3, according to Chart-Track’s figures. Comparing sales of both consoles for the four weeks prior to GTA IV’s launch to the four weeks since its launch, hardware units have risen on 360 by 47 per cent, compared to just eight per cent on PS3 - though it’s fair to point out that the release of GT 5 Prologue had already given PS3 a significant boost in the weeks leading up to GTA IV’s debut."
I wounder if the higher sales for 360 are due to the fact Microsoft paid Take2 for exclusive down-loadable content?
One user on the GTAForums.com website has seemed to found some info that shows a plane ticket for Niko Bellic going to San Andreas
The user "Basa" on the GTAForums Website has apparently found something in the story gang section of rockstar's Social Club.
"I was messing about with the Story Gang thing on the Social Club website. I noticed you could click and drag the things about that are under the story book. I found a plane ticket. Have a wee look and see for yourselves..."
Could this discovery relate San Andreas to the upcoming downloadable content we've all heard so much about. Only time will tell and you can bet 360-hq will be the first to know.

Reuters has reported that Take-Two Interactive is suing the transit authority for pulling down GTA IV ads, how bizarre that GTA is not the one being sued for once.
Reuters is reporting that: "Take Two accused the authority and its sales agent, Titan Outdoor LLC, of violating a $300,000 (150,000 pounds) ad campaign agreement that included running "Grand Theft Auto 4" poster ads on the sides of buses and transit display spaces throughout the Chicago transit system scheduled for six weeks between April and June."
"The suit seeks an order for the transit authority to run the ads as well as monetary damages of at least $300,000."
"The advertisements were removed following a report by a Fox News affiliate that questioned why the ad was allowed to run after a wave of violent crimes in Chicago, the suit said."
While law suits are nothing new to the GTA franchise I'm sure the shock of being the one to do the suing was beyond confusing for the GTA legal team.
