For the GTA IV fans that have got The Lost And The Damned DLC you might recall that a few things like guns and bikes had been added to the GTA IV world and that trend is not going to stop with Gay Tony, you can expect more guns and vehicles in this new DLC due out October 29 for 360.
New details on the second GTA IV episode, The Ballad of Gay Tony have emerged via the latest issue of Xbox World 360 magazine.
The new 360-exclusive DLC - which you can see in the video form below - is described by the XBW chaps as "crammed to the gills with high-powered new weapons, fresh vehicles and, above all, a sense of riotous abandon that we haven't really seen from GTA since the latter stages of San Andreas".
Following the exploits of city high-roller Luis Fernando Lopez, the episode looks to include the kind of mental set pieces you'd expect from the likes of Saints Row 2.
As well as bouts of base jumping and helicopter battles with giant yachts, one adrenaline-stuffed Gay Tony mission, says XBW, has you stealing a subway train for a "nutjob" real estate billionaire, voiced by Arab comedian Omid Djalli.
The minted businessman wants a carriage to send back to the Middle East as a present for his pal - only the local officials aren't keen on giving him one. Expectedly then, it's up to you to base jump onto the roof of a speeding train, fending off police snipers, before having the carriage literally airlifted off the tracks by a massive, custom helicopter.
New toys include the P90 submachine gun, SWAT tank, the Bentley-alike Super Drop Diamond and the new chopper seen in the debut trailer called the Buzzard.
According to Xbox World, the add-on's also quite generous in the mini-game department. While the Firefly Island funfair still isn't open for business, Lopez can partake in a spot of golf or even manage a nightclub, kicking out trouble makers and making sure the dance floor's pumping.
With the release of The Lost And Damned doing so well im sure The Ballad Of Gay Tony cant fall short of its sell marker but the real question is will it be a game with a gay character or just a big stereotype pushed to the limit?
Next-Gen reports: Rockstar has just confirmed an October 29 release date for the second Xbox 360 exclusive Grand Theft Auto episode, titled The Ballad Of Gay Tony.
Announced in late May, the episode will launch as DLC for Microsoft’s console priced at $19.99/£13.60, or 1600 MS points, and will require players to have a copy of Grand Theft Auto IV and an Xbox Live membership in order to download it.
Publisher Take-Two will simultaneously release Grand Theft Auto: Episodes From Liberty City, which will bundle the first Xbox 360 downloadable GTA episode, The Lost And Damned, and episode two, The Ballad Of Gay Tony, on one retail disc for $39.99. Users will not require a copy of GTA IV or an Xbox Live membership to play the title.
While specific download figures haven’t been released, The Lost and Damned broke the Xbox Live first-day revenue record for DLC, while retail sales of Grand Theft Auto IV topped $500 million during its first week of availability.
Got this email from Rockstar today regarding the Xbox Live weekend: Game with Fame.. Checkout the detailed below.
"Log on to Xbox LIVE® on Tuesday June 2nd from 7:00 until 9:00 PM EST with your copy of Grand Theft Auto IV:The Lost and Damned to take part in a special Game With Fame event featuring the one and only Busta Rhymes.
The electrifying rapper will be taking on all comers who dare to challenge him at The Lost and Damned's online multiplayer gameplay modes. Just log on at the date and time listed above, and look for the gamertag BustaRhymes GwF (*note space between BustaRhymes and GwF) to find him online and throw down the gauntlet.
Busta appears in Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned on radio station The Beat 102.7; you can hear him phone in as a special guest caller on Funkmaster Flex's in-game radio show, and hear Flex spin his new single "Respect My Conglomerate." Busta also appears on DJ Green Lantern's in-game radio show with his original song produced exclusively for Grand Theft Auto IV, "Where's My Money." Busta's new album Back On"
So fancy yourself kicking Busta's Rhymes butt. There is only one way to find out, log on and see if you have what it takes.
Opened up my email today to this email from Rockstar.
"Rockstar Games is proud to announce the fall release of both the second episode of Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony - exclusively for download on Xbox LIVE® online entertainment network, and Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City, which will include both episode one The Lost and Damned, and episode two The Ballad of Gay Tony together on a single disc exclusively for Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.
Grand Theft Auto IV's second downloadable episode, The Ballad of Gay Tony injects Liberty City with an overdose of guns, glitz, and grime. As Luis Lopez, part-time hoodlum and full-time assistant to legendary nightclub impresario Tony Prince (aka "Gay Tony"), players will struggle with the competing loyalties of family and friends, and with the uncertainty about who is real and who is fake in a world in which everyone has a price.
Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City delivers two games on one disc - the all-new episode The Ballad of Gay Tony and the first episode, The Lost and Damned - together on disc for the first time - for Xbox 360 for $39.99 and will not require a copy of the original Grand Theft Auto IV to play.
The Ballad of Gay Tony will release on Xbox LIVE this fall for $19.99 or 1600 MS points and requires players to have Grand Theft Auto IV for Xbox 360 and Xbox LIVE membership to download.
Much more information and media to come."
