With the most recent Xbox 360 Dash Updates apparently, there were issues with the localized Chinese version of the Xbox 360 dashboard that we were completely unaware of here.
We're relatively sure it's because none of our staff knows any Chinese. But to all our Chinese readers out there, your Xbox 360 dash problems have been solved!
There are no new features in this update. There is one, small fix that improves character recognition for those users that are using the localized Chinese language version of the dashboard on their Xbox 360. You'll get prompted for this mandatory update the next time you connect to Xbox Live. (Yes, you need to take the update even if you don't use the Chinese language version of the dash keyboard.) I wanted to let you guys know what's in the update, since I was sure you'd ask anyway.
We love Microsoft's Major Nelson for being such a public and friendly face for Microsoft, but often we feel a tad bad for him as well. He sure has to put up with a lot of negative feelings in his comments. You're a stronger man than most, Maj.
Xbox 360 Dead Or Alive 5 ComingGamespot called Dead Or Alive 4 for the Xbox 360 "slick, fully featured, and exciting as fighting games get." And let's face it, they were probably holding back. But the fear has been DOA4 was going to be Team Ninja's swan song in the series, and that there would be no more games after this one.
Thankfully, Team Ninja has provided the news we've all been waiting for: Dead Or Alive 5 is in the works. There's no more details past that, but the news alone will keep us happy for a while.
Before Dead or Alive 4 released, it was stated on 1UP.com that this could be the last fighting game in the series. When we asked Itagaki about this, he explained that since it's the 10th anniversary of the series, he wanted to bring closure to the current storyline. However, that does not mean that the series if over and done with. Instead, he would like to move forward from DOA4 and possibly bring something new to the fans of the series in the way of a new storyline. While Itagaki did confirm that the next title in the series will be called DOA5, in our opinion, this indicates that the story and possibly many of the characters will be changing.
Today Microsoft rolled out a nice hefty Backward Compatible update with 21 new US games added and 6 Japanese games added.
While the games aren't what a lot of people hoped for. But still nice to see a update bigger the just 4 games. Now Maybe the updates will roll out more frequently? We can only hope.

As you may remember a week ago a member on this site announced two titles that were going to be released on the next Backwards Compatibility Update, these two games are Doom 3 and Lego Star Wars, thanks to Xenokai and his anonymous tipster we had this news before any other site. Along with the confirmation of our news, he also said that the previous 12 games coming out on the next update has been increased to 20 games, so we will have to wait and see what other 18 Xbox games will soon be playable on the Xbox 360.

We recently received five pages of art from Marvel's upcoming Halo Graphic Novel, and we have to say, it's looking good. The pages feature art by Simon Bisley, Moebius, and Tstutomo Nihei. Each page includes a caption that gives a hint to what the graphic novel will cover.
One page shows a group of Covenant Elites entering a Flood-infested agricultural ship, and another shows the tranquil city of New Mombasa before the Covenant invasion. A page by Nihei depicts Sgt. Johnson going up against Flood-infected humans. The last bit of art takes place during the creation of the Spartan project and shows the famous armor being tested.
We've been told that the book will include stories from all over the Halo timeline rather than be limited to one specific story or era. Marvel will release the Halo Graphic Novel in hardback this July, and it will weigh in at 128 pages.

Microsoft has announed that “Ninety-Nine Nights” will hit store shelves in the United States in August 2006.
