Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos includes beloved characters, like the Harvest Sprites and Harvest Goddess, and familiar goals like farming and caring for animals but also takes the player in new directions as they explore a new world.
Anthos was a peaceful land guarded by the Harvest Goddess and Harvest Sprites, protecting its inhabitants from natural disasters. However, a volcanic eruption devastated the region, requiring the protectors to exhaust their power safeguarding the people and animals of Anthos. Villages were separated and unfortunate souls were trapped, unable to return.
The Harvest Goddess, believing in future reconnection, sent a message in a bottle before falling into a deep sleep. Now, 10 years later, you discover the SOS. With the help of your inventive friend Doc Jr., you must revive the Harvest Goddess and Sprites while reuniting the villages. Explore and farm across Anthos using Doc's Expando-Farm, spanning snowy mountains to beautiful beaches.

Along the way, you'll come across cows, sheep, camels, and even reindeer! Dig in, because in this game, the world is literally your oyster!
Before the Harvest Goddess disappeared from this world, she imbued the tiny Harvest Wisps with the knowledge of various seeds, thus ensuring the various fruits and vegetables of the world would not be lost. Using the power given to these Harvest Wisps, you'll unlock various seeds as you progress through the game! But the Harvest Wisps can be tricky to find, as they all appear at different times and places. You'll need to use your noggin to make sure to seek as many as you can of them out!
Earlier this year Microsoft announced that Xbox is coming to Windows 8. Now, Major Nelson has revealed the first wave Xbox LIVE games that will be coming to Windows 8 starting October 26th.
Wave one will bring many of the games you already know and love; and will include 29 titles from Microsoft Studios, some of which will be exclusive to Windows 8.
Many games will be available starting October 26th with ongoing new releases coming through holiday and beyond. This growing portfolio spans genres and delivers an innovative mix of fun-to-play titles that will be playable on any Windows 8 PC, laptop, or tablet.
Xbox games will be easy to find in the preinstalled Windows 8 Xbox Games app and available in the Windows 8 Store. In addition, all Xbox games for Windows 8 will have Xbox Achievements, and many will also take advantage of other Xbox features, including leaderboards, multiplayer modes, and connecting with friends, and more.
