Activision has just announced that “Call of Duty: Ghosts” is the #1 most played Xbox One multiplayer game worldwide.
In addition to being the #1 Xbox One multiplayer game on Xbox Live, Call of Duty: Ghosts also is currently the #1 most played Xbox 360 multiplayer game, according to Microsoft.
“Around the globe, Call of Duty: Ghosts is leading the next generation. It’s the #1 selling title at key retailers and it’s also the most played game on Xbox One and PS4 globally,” said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing, Inc. “As we’ve said before, we’ve got the best community of fans in the world and we’re thrilled they’re coming with us to the next generation.”

A DOUBLE XP weekend for Call of Duty: Ghosts that gives players the chance to earn twice the amount of XP is now live on all platforms. The Double XP kicked off today at 10am PDT and finishes up on Monday November 11th.

You may be wondering what in the world do these two things have in common? Well despite the artist being a fan of Call of Duty his newly announce LP titled 'MMLP 2' will be launching the same exact day (Nov 5th) as his debut album.
What better way to promote both the game and his album? As such the song titled 'Survival' has been released about a month ago. The rapper seems to be helping the call of duty series promote sales.

Coming from a personal opinion I do not think the game will deliver that much hype as most Call of duty releases are just the same thing with shinier layouts. As such I am still very excited to play the game as well as hear some new music!

Infinity Ward executive producer Mark Rubin announced this week that Call of Duty: Ghosts, currently on track to be the most pre-ordered title this year, will be using a hybrid system of dedicated servers and listen servers for multiplayer gameplay on Xbox 360, PS3, WiiU, Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
Call of Duty: Ghosts takes the critically-acclaimed franchise into the next generation. New world. New story. New, next-gen engine. Ghosts will be the first game in the series to feature dedicated servers on consoles.
As part of an overall plan to improve connectivity "Call of Duty: Ghosts" will be using a hybrid system of dedicated servers and listen servers," said Mark Rubin.
Activision today revealed details about the Xbox Game Ahead Program, a new program that includes everything from Xbox One upgrades for just $10, to information on keeping your Season Pass content, profile, and stats with you as you transition to "Call of Duty: Ghosts."
Xbox One Upgrade Offers
Gamers can purchase a disc-less dual-license digital version of "Call of Duty: Ghosts" at participating retailers for a suggested retail price of $69.99. This version will include the Xbox 360 digital version of "Call of Duty: Ghosts," as well as the Xbox One digital version of "Call of Duty: Ghosts" – linked and unlocked via a user’s Xbox Live gamertag. More information on how to pre-order at participating retailers will be available in the coming weeks.
Players can also purchase a digital version of "Call of Duty: Ghosts" directly from the Xbox Live Marketplace for a suggested retail price of $59.99. And, when ready to upgrade to Xbox One, you can purchase a digital Xbox One version of "Call of Duty: Ghosts" for a suggested retail price of just $10 on the Xbox Live Marketplace until March 31, 2014.
A 1080p HD Tactical Camera is the star inclusion in this year’s Prestige Edition of Activision’s Call of Duty release, COD: Ghosts.
It’s mountable, shock proof, water resistant, has a 170° wide angle lens, includes a 4GB memory card and is modelled on the equipment found in-game.
Also in the box is a wearable Paracord Strap that would allow you, should you choose, to carry “over 10 feet of versatile paracord”. There’s a steel box for the game as well.
Digitally the bundle includes a COD: Ghosts Season Pass, a Ghosts insignia player patch, insignia player card, a Ghost-themed player background and a free dynamic bonus map called Free Fall. There’s also a digital version of the soundtrack.
Note that the Ghosts Prestige Edition is a GAME exclusive in the UK.
