After delighting PC users on Steam, the unique real-time strategy title Death Crown debuts today in digital format on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One via a console-specific edition, with an adjusted control system and its two DLC's included: Era of Human and Demonic Menace.
Incarnate death itself in fast-paced games that will be settled in a matter of minutes. In Death Crown, you won't find a second to spare as you create troops, gain resources and strengthen your defences against enemy hordes.
This Russian-developed delicatessen is based on an aesthetic that is as surprising as it is minimalist, paying homage to the classics developed for the Apple II computers in the 1980s. The 1bit Pixel Art, inspired by medieval engravings, is at the service of gameplay mechanics as simple as ferocious.
The rules could not be simpler. You must destroy the enemy fortress, and to do so you must generate resources (by building mines, or mills, depending on the faction), troops that you will throw against your opponent and towers that will serve to defend your positions and conquer more ground on the map.
Long-term strategy is not rewarded here, in the style of classic RTS: in Death Crown you have to act, and react to your opponent’s movements, at full speed. The course of each match can change completely in a matter of seconds, just like an express chess game. Losing concentration, even for an instant, is paid with a painful defeat.
Death Crown offers three campaigns in which you will lead the dead, the humans or the demons, through more than 90 maps. And you’ll sweat blood to conquer them all, because from the third map of each faction (there are 20 scenarios in the campaign of each side) the AI will be relentless. You’ll also face 12 bosses with unique mechanics.
Apart from the three campaigns, Death Crown offers a challenge only available to masters of real-time strategy: Domination Mode, where players can climb the rankings while facing 30 hellish missions with only three lives. If you lose them all, you’ll have to start from the beginning. And if you want to dominate the world in good company, Death Crown will allow you to play the campaigns in cooperative or face another player in a versus in Local mode.
Death Crown is now available in digital format for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and the Nintendo Switch.

Gaijin Entertainment today announced that War Thunder will soon unleash the might of the Japanese Navy as the games fifth Naval Forces vehicle tree. Beta-testing of the initial lineup of the Japanese ships will start at the end of May, with the release of War Thunder's next major Content Update 1.89.
The initial batch of Japanese ships will encompass more than 20 ships, ranging from torpedo and gunboats to destroyers and cruisers. Many of those were active participants in some of the biggest battles of World War II. This includes the light cruiser Agana, which evacuated Japanese forces from Guadalcanal, and the destroyer Yugumo, which escorted Admiral Nagumo's strike force against Midway and was sunk during the battles around the Solomon Islands. While the majority of the ships belong to the Imperial Japanese Navy, the game will also see the addition of modern ships of the post-war Japanese Self-Defense Marine Forces, including the PT-15, which was the last torpedo boat to serve in the Japanese Navy.
The oxygen-propelled Type 93 torpedoes, which were used by Japanese destroyers and cruisers of World War II, were the most advanced torpedoes of their time and featured excellent hitting power, range and speed. After the war, they were referred to by most historians as the Japanese "Long Lance". All players of War Thunder will be able to get their history lesson on that subject very soon, as - true to War Thunder's realistic approach - both the design and capabilities of the Japanese Navy were recreated as authentically as possible. The Yugumo, for example, is equipped with eight torpedo tubes in two traversable quad-turrets mounted at the center of the ship, allowing the player to launch these devastating weapons to both sides.
Playtonic Friends officially revealed that the next title to join it’s stable will be the console version of fast and frenetic rhythm-based shooter BPM: Bullets Per Minute. Check out the official console trailer!
BPM: Bullets Per Minute brings dungeon-based shooter action to the table, but encases it in a world where every single move - every shot, every jump, and every dodge - is pulled off to the beat of an epic rock soundtrack.
The game hit PC back in September 2020 and won praise from critics and plaudits from gamers, with Screen Rant describing it as “engaging and addictive enough to make most titles out right now blush”. With BPM set to take to the stage on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this summer, the studio decided its performance on console needed to come with some extra backing singers - albeit only figuratively. Anyone expecting members of the Playtonic team to take to the stage for their X Factor moment will sadly be severely disappointed.
“When BPM: Bullets Per Minute hit PC, the response we got blew us away, and we were aware that many gamers out there were keen for us to bring our particular brand of bang-bang-to-the-beats action to PlayStation and Xbox,” says Awe Interactive founder David Jones. “We always had plans to support consoles, but we felt like we should treat it as a brand new release, however, and as a result, we looked for a partner to help us do these new platforms justice.”
