" Life in the Active Army is beyond great. Rent, water, lights are all free. Trash is also free. Aside from a few minor BS from time to time , it is an excellent carrier move. I am reclassing to an EOD tech. I love things that go boom. You can retire from the Army after 20 years with 50% pay. As a E-6 making 4 grand a month you can pocket 2 grand a month for the rest of your life and still work. They will pay for your college and tutition online. It is a very wise choice in your life. Bouneses up to 40 grand and duty station choice. I plan on doing 20 or more years. I am at 3 years and an E-4. Life can't get this easy. "
