QUByte Interactive confirmed that their 2.5D side-scroller 'Project Colonies: MARS 2120 ' will be making its way onto Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC via the Epic Games Store and Steam.
Project Colonies: MARS 2120 is a 2.5D side-scroller action-adventure game, set in a sci-fi setting, part of the subgenre Metroidvania, heavily inspired by one of the biggest franchise of this game genre: Metroid.
In the 22th Century, human Colonies across some of the Solar System planets are a reality. After going unresponsive for several weeks, the First Colony, in Mars, sends a distress signal to Earth, which, in response, sends a group of Enhanced Elite Space Marines, led by Anna Charlotte, to identify the source of the signal and find out what happened to the Colony.
QUByte Interactive is looking to bring an experience that will reflect most of the greatest characteristics in a Metroidvania game. The exploration and map knowledge will be crucial in MARS 2120, such as unlocking new abilities, powers and upgrades in order to face the next challenge.
We’re also bringing unique aspects to our game, one of them being the melee combat alongside the ranged. The player will be able to perform combos, combining different moves, powers and abilities. Skills and moves may affect different enemies in different ways. Each enemy and boss requires the player to know which approach will work better against it, creating a unique challenge for each one them, especially in boss fights.
Games Box S.A and Shining Games announced that Street Artist Simulator, an open-world action game that lets players create & design their own graffiti, is coming to PC in 2024. The game will also offer a whole range of additional activities. The player will have to get things such as food, drink and accommodation. To acquire the necessary funds, they may need to carry out paid assignments or demonstrate their hacking skills.
