Microsoft's My Xbox Live iOS app has been updated to offer users the ability to control their console with their iDevice.
The app's v1.6 update allows iPad users to take control of a number of features including launching games, watching Xbox Live videos, in-video controls and browsing of the general UI. The app already allows users to alter their avatars, track achievements and track recent activity.
The move can be seen as a natural precursor to the official release of Microsoft's SmartGlass functionality for Xbox 360 that will look to further integrate "second screen" functionality into a host of console software.
