For the past month, the only way you could play Skyrim's add-on Dawnguard was to own an Xbox 360. Clarifying news from Bethesda confirms that could be the case for much longer.
The game's debut DLC made it out for 360 owners in late June, but the announcement mysteriously omitted any mention of a PC and/or PS3 release at the time. Well, not so mysterious anymore.
"We have not announced Dawnguard for any other platform, nor given a timeline for any such news," Bethesda marketing head Pete Hines stated on Twitter. "If we have news, I promise I’d tell you."
Microsoft and Bethesda did indeed have a timed-exclusivity deal for the content, but it was only for a 30-day period after release (which has since come and gone). That in mind, the content could have arrived as early as today.
No other word on the matter was provided, so at this time it's unclear if this is just a minor hold-up or something more indefinite.
