The Russian Destroyers are now fully released, meaning players can research their way through them to the Tier VII Tashkent. These ships are quite interesting; unlike most destroyers, they focus on their abilities as a gunboat rather than stealth and torpedo armament. Like the Russian cruisers, they have flat-shooting guns designed to work best at their maximum range. Staying at this range works well for the destroyers, giving them time to dodge incoming fire with their tremendous speed. After adding in some short-ranged torpedoes, the Russian gunboats are perfect for high-risk, high-reward gameplay.
Speaking of high-risk, high-reward–the Russian Battleships are here in early access, due to be fully released next update. They bring heavy red artillery to the sea, and will contest the German battleships for the spot of best brawler. The guns on these brawlers are only accurate at close range and they are heavily armored, making them great at pushing the enemy. However, they will take massive damage if caught broadside on, so careful positioning is required! Players will be able to sail in these behemoths by opening Soviet crates, which can be earned in the campaigns.
GRID Season 3 adds six new cars, Suzuka Circuit, nine new achievements, and credit reward boosts to drive the release on April 15th.
GRID’s third dose of post-launch content arrives on April 15th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam. Season 3 is also coming soon to Google Stadia.
Following on from the Hot Hatchbacks and Track Day Supercars, we’re kicking into overdrive with six dream drives, multiple customisation additions, nine new achievements/trophies, a new circuit, and massive credit reward boosts for Freeplay and Multiplayer modes.
There’s only one word suited to describe the new cars available in the Track Day Hypercars pack - Fast. Included in Season 3 are the Ferrari FXX-K Evo, the Koenigsegg Agera RS, the Koenigsegg Jesko, and the iconic Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport. The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport will be available as a loan car for all GRID players in Multiplayer.
Additionally, Season 3 brings with it two bonus cars, available for those with any version of GRID. The Honda NSX-GT and the NISSAN GT-R Racing Car (GT500 Spec) can be purchased with in-game currency to race in Multiplayer and Freeplay modes.
As with the previous updates, Season 3 brings with it another new track. Loved by drivers and fans alike with its snaking corners and old-school aesthetic, players will be heading to Japan to get to grips with the Suzuka Circuit. Regardless of the six routes they choose, each of the nine weather and time of day conditions will be at the disposal of all GRID players.
GRID Season 3’s other features include 33 new Career events, 14 liveries, six livery patterns, and ten player cards and banners.
Finally, after community feedback and rigorous testing, there have been substantial changes to Multiplayer and Freeplay modes. Changing with Season 3, credit rewards for competing in these modes have increased by up to ten times their previous amounts, allowing for a greater incentive for Multiplayer and Freeplay.
Season 3 can be purchased separately on each digital storefront on April 15th. GRID Ultimate Edition players will automatically get access via game update.

SOEDESCO today announced several significant improvements for their popular driving simulator Truck Driver.
Truck Driver will receive a completely new Visual Damage System, an entirely reworked AI System and the current game engine’s version will be updated. The new updates will be implemented into all these versions. SOEDESCO released three videos explaining the upcoming updates in detail.
Let's take a look at the changes coming to Truck Driver!
Visual Damage System
The new damage system in Truck Driver adds visual damage to the player’s trucks and AI vehicles. In the current version of Truck Driver, players see the damage their truck has sustained on the SatNav. There’s chassis damage, engine wear and tire wear. These damages have impact on gameplay as well. Tire wear increases the braking distance, chassis damage results in steering deviation and engine damage breaks the engine. The upcoming update visualizes damage in 3D, by showing scratches and dents at the exact spot the truck was hit. AI vehicles also display accurate visual damage.
New AI System
A completely new AI system in Truck Driver adds several significant improvements to the AI cars and pedestrian AI. This system introduces individual driver behavior types, such as aggressive drivers and cautious drivers. The pedestrians in Truck Driver now cross the streets and react to traffic. Additional types of AI vehicles, such as trucks and tractors are added and there’s a more realistic distribution of vehicle types and traffic throughout the map, with dense cities and quiet rural areas.
Unity Engine Upgrade
Truck Driver is currently running on Unity version 2017.4. This is upgraded to version 2019.2. The upgrade brings a better optimized game, which results in smoother frame rates, less stutters and, most importantly, the ability to add new features and content easier. It reduces file sizes for patches and brings an overall improvement in graphics with better shaders and textures.
Truck Driver was released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in September 2019 and will also come to Nintendo Switch and Steam.
