The Game Dump Extractor incl. source code was released by Team PI Coder. It allows you to extract Xbox360-ISO image files (x360dvdfs). Just like the original Xbox (xdvdfs) the 360 does not use the ISO9660 or UDF filesystem for the content on game DVDs. This tools allows you to extract the files from an image in the 'Xbox 360 DVD file system' (.360). As there seems to be some kinda confusion about this: it does NOT bypass the protection that prevents you from reading an original Xbox 360 disc on your PC, so you can't use it to access/read original Xbox360 discs.
As this is a cmdline tool, some people released a Windows GUI for it.

wx360 v1.6 and wxRipper v1.2 
just released a big update of my tools, you will now be able to find the 'magic number' immediatly, without having to scan an unknown Xbox 360 DVD.
So there's no longer a difference between known and unknown games, they will all be detected/dumped the same way.
The advantage of this method is that you will be able to use wx360 directly to open the content of the DVD without having to dump it first. After doing the hot-swap you'll just have to open wx360, select the DVD-drive and click the DVD icon.
wxRipper will thus have a feature to find the 'magic number' immediately, without scanning the Xbox 360 DVD. The features related to dumping did not change.

JSR has released a 360 image patcher for IMGburn v1.0. IMGburn is a free burning application and this piece of work by JSR will make it compatible with 360 image burning.
Notes :
Most people use a cracked CloneCD to burn Xbox 360 backup because we can't burn those with free software. Now it's possible with this program. It patch the Xbox 360 Backup Image so that it is compatible with IMGBurn, the free image burner. IMGBurn is a great software, user friendly and comes with a lot of useful option like bitsetting.

Xplorer ImageConvertor (XIC) v1.0
This little tool will input Datel's .z36 images and convert them to Xplorer compatible .bin's.
