I was looking for an alternative to Media Center (as i'm banned) and came across the PS3 Media Server. Downloaded and installed it, was simple to set up and i was up and running in a coupe of minutes. The stream is not laggy and doesn't jolt. There are plenty of settings to mess around with and some pre-set ones included. Also works on linux and apple.
