I have tried this, on one of my xbox 360s and asked questions how to if possible.
In this thread:http://www.360-hq.com/postt6154.html
I have also read that you need infectus programmer?
So the real question is, how can you have a tutorial that doesnt work?
and is it possible to retrieve the key using jungle flasher and Infectus programmer?
If possible then it would be worth the money to buy it and use it. would hate to spend the money if It absolutely can't be done.
Heres there site so you know what i am talking about in case you havent heard or read about it.

Well normally i would check a tutorial myself to confirm it works, or another user would confirm it works.. Seeing that m0nsterboy wrote the tutorial and he is away in the army it will be a bit hard to get a reply.

That tutorial is pretty straight forward plus Junglerflasher is free why dont you try it?
he has tried it, but it doesn't seem to be working on his retail box.
All he wants to do is get the key for the dvdrom drive so he can replace it. _________________________________________________________ HQ Network:

Ok first thanks Forahobby, so i didnt have to repeat myself. YES I HAVE TRIED IT. seemed simple.
2nd, What about "INFECTUS" they say it can be done with this programmer or moddchip and use it with jungle flasher,
I am concerned , I have brought this topic up alot due to a few things that had not just crossed my path but many others.
So you can all say Jtag it or what not that is the easy way out.
In a forum that i read on another site, says no one knows where the eeprom is that holds the key. the eeprom on the motherboard that is.
everyone wants to say no you cant. there is no such thing as I CAN"T CUZ SOME HOW SOME WAY I WILL FIND A WAY!!!!
Main this is "infectus" for real or not I LEFT THE LINK TO THE SITE CHECK IT OUT.
Rodent,as lost his dvd drive key..or paid for a 360 with a swapped out drive,from another 360...
Ya cant get the key off the MOBO..Unless you use JTAG..
All 360s can not be JTAG.....so no key no GO.
360s have..an NAND and KEY VAULTS....no EEPROM.
The Xbox 360 NAND flash is the equivalent of the Xbox 1 EEPROM, they both were used to contain the information to boot the systems. The only way to recover the DVD drive key is if you can obtain the DVD drive with it's firmware.
Otherwize, unless you can somehow randomly get the CPU key right, then there is no way of decrypting your keyvault to obtain your DVD drive key. Although there is no way that you will be able to obtain the DVD drive key without the linux distribution for the Xbox 360 known as XeLL/XeLLous as XeLL/XeLLous can obtain the CPU key needed to decrypt the keyvault.
The JTAG hack uses the first bootloader to boot into a different kernel such as linux. In order to change the boot operation we are in need of a modified SMC. The SMC contains the information for what boots and when. Although MS managed to patch the hack that allowed us to boot into this seperate kernel by rewriting the first bootloader and blowing a eFUSE which the Xbox 360's famous JTAG hack relied on.
Since the eFUSE has been blown, and that the first bootloader has been rewritten, there are no more exploits for the Xbox 360 and there probably won't be one for a little longer yet. _________________________________________________________
