I had these fitted to my dead xbox, they didn't help stop the rrod coming back. I know it is different material, but m$ already fit heatsinks to the memory chips on some of the consoles.
But to answer your question, you might aswell put them on, they can't hurt, and if your console is new, it may save it's life and you'll never get the rrod. _________________________________________________________ Opinions are like arse holes, everybody has one and your's stinks.
I recommend it, I wouldn't even do the x-clamp replacement just this one. And Microsoft did do the small pads for a while, but they weren't as thick as the Team Xecuter ones and don't prevent it as well. I have a December 2007 Falcon and it didn't have the white pads to I think Microsoft realized it wasn't a good solution. As for this kit though I look highly upon it because it is
A) Cheap
B) Simple
C) Worth a try for the cost

To Div:
These kits stop the most common RROD problems which relate to the x-clamp, but because RROD can mean so many things it won't always work, what was your secondary error code? _________________________________________________________

The secondary code was 0102. I had fixed it a couple of times but i suppose it can only take too much until it's completely knackered. _________________________________________________________ Opinions are like arse holes, everybody has one and your's stinks.

I did not know of your fix before and believe you were the original creator, and I nor 360-Hq or Divineo are any way responsible for making these kits. If you are that concerned over this please contact Team Xecuter.
As for them making money, if you were to go buy those screwdrivers at a hardware store you would probably pay around $10 so its not like they are making much money.
I still recommend Team Xecuter's 360 RROD kit if anyone is willing to try it, if not try the rubber eraser trick, the Team Xecuter one is just a bit more professional and you don't have to cut anything yourself
Div: Yeah the 360's are complicated and maybe you got another error but it recognized the 0102 first _________________________________________________________
The only problem is... they say that you can fix the RROD with this and that's not completely true. Why? Because I've fixed over 30 360s with this and I could only fix 0102/0020/0021/0022.. Nothing else..
The best fix around here is... Washers, bolts and thermal paste, remove the xclamps, redo it all with the best known tutorial for that (I forgot the name of it, but you guys must know it)... It's cheaper than the team xecuter fix but you will have a lot of work.. but it works even on E74 issues. Plus, use the "coin" method too.. Works better than the eraser and it wont degrade over time nor it will cause "overheating problems"..
Anyway, I'm out.. I came over here just to set the record straight...
Edit: btw, I'm not the original creator.. I was the 1st one that posted over Eurasia/XBox Scene (not sure about XS)..

Its not like any fix is fully guaranteed to fix every RROD because there are so many different problems included under the description Red Ring of Death. But the ones you just listed off should be fixed by the Team Xecuter kit _________________________________________________________
