Nice. I catch them all. just curious, What do you use to screen capture, what settings do you capture such as what FPS, Quality setting (If you have those options to choose from) and what format do you record in.. Then once recorded what is the file sizes like, and do you convert to a smaller file size before uploading on youtube?
The reason I ask is because I do not do very long videos. I try to record at about 60fps capture and 98% quality. A one minute clip at that setting on MSI afterburner puts out a severl gig avi file. I then either edit in After effects which also puts out a large file avi file. or go straight to conversion with a program called WinAvi converter, I can then convert to AVI in that program and turn that several gig sized file into something much smaller without losing any visual quality, sometimes maybe just a tiny bit but not usually noticeable. so it will turn that 1 min 2.5 gig video into 40mb maybe. making it much faster to upload to youtube.
Was curious what you use, your settings and file sizes you get.

Well i use the software which came with my Hauppage HD PVR. I will check the settings for you now, but it basically records in any format you select, 1080p, 720p or whatever but outputs to .M2TS, .TS (MPEG-2 TS Video) or MP4.. I use MP4 to capture in and then edit my videos using another editor. At 720p the videos after editing were around i think at 30 fps 500-700mb, but these days im recording in 1080p 60 fps. so they are huge. It takes me around 3 hrs to upload them even after I've edited. lol
Anyway, I will reply in a tick with my complete setup and settings.
Available Codecs: .M2TS, .TS (MPEG-2 TS Video) or MP4
Total Media Extreme Settings using MP4 Output:
Video Input: YPrPb
Audio input: S/PDIF
PC Audio Mode: 5.1 Channels
Soure Resolution: 1920x1080 @ 30 frames per second
Max Bitrate: 9.0 Mbps (Constant) (i am updating this soon to play more)
Basically those are the setting I am running.. I did have it running at 60fps but then i found youtube always re-encodes them back to 30fps anyway. well i think. does that info help anyone? _________________________________________________________ HQ Network:

Nice. I only record in 720, my monitor will not allow me to choose the 1920 - 1080 setting in games. I have to stick to something like 1360 x 768.

A 10 minute video recorded in 1080p using variable Bit Rate of 13.5 MB will produce a .mp4 movie sized 532MB. A 10 minute video recording in 1080p using a constant Bit Rate of 9MB will produce a .mp4 movie sized xxx MB. _________________________________________________________ HQ Network:

you loose nothing recording at 720p because the 1080p of the xbox is an upscaled one _________________________________________________________
