Not sure if this is news worthy but does raise a few questions on PS4 stock and delivery of it's waves of new consoles.
This is from a post by a gaming retailer on their facebook page.

An update on PS4 consoles everybody!! Just spoke to the Sales Manager for Sony Entertainment today and it ain't great news. We will be missing out on Day one stock of the consoles - however he did say that we would be able to get stock of the consoles from the second allocation moving forward. The fact is if you have pre-ordered with us you won't get them on day one - they could not tell me when the next shipment would be as they did not know at this point. Be aware that anyone who has pre-ordered anywhere else may also not get their console on day one either if they have not ordered early on - This is why everywhere else is telling you to, "Reserve your place in the queue." We are now re-opening pre-orders for the PS4 but these will be purely for reservation until extra shipments arrive. Sorry guys but SONY has spoken!! XBOXONE on the other hand we are getting still so if you can't wait for the PS4 come get an XBOXONE!!

Unsure as this is all the info that has come out for now.

this is exactly what i thought was going to happen.. All these guys are rushing make these new consoles well guess what, they are all made of the same shit man.. lol.. hahahha.. Pretty sure they don't need stock for a pre order a good example of this here in Australia is Mortal Kombat, Saints Row 4, Gran Turismo 5 & South Park: Stick Of Truth.
Yes they would have some ready to go but I'm sure that they don't have all and not at stores logistics.
Stores also do a thing called overselling for sales like for xmas layby's where the store does not have the stock but when it arrives it is filtered into the allocated layby's.
