Ubergeek from team-xecuter has published an excellent guide on how to check to see if your xbox 360 is JTAG compatible. The tutorial/guide includes compatible kernal versions and relevant diagrams.

I wish I had a jtagabble console but the cost of living means I doubt I'll ever get my hands on one and my ps3 is 3.56 unless they bring out cfw there will be no homebrew for me this gen I really wanted to see some snes emulation in hd on a console and see what cool apps people have/are making. I know emulation is possible on pc but if it was on any of my consoles I sure would play them again.

Hey Hobbs its been awhile.
I don't understand what im looking at on the kernal picture.
My power port says I have a Zephyr.
The Info that was on the system info screen
D: 2.0.13599.0 - K: 2.0.13599.0 (BK: 2.0.1888.0)
which is the info needed? Sorry I usually am the one giving advice and not asking it. feeling dumb right now. _________________________________________________________

You can do the reset glitch hack pretty much the same as a jtag. So what you need is a chip that can do the reset glitch and something to pull the nand from the board.
or maybe get a hold of legendaryfire and see if he might know a cheaper method and that. _________________________________________________________ The one the only Scarface!!

Hey, does anyone have a list of alternative dashboards to go with this little guide?
I'm running FreestyleDash 2.2, and i know there is Xexmenu and maybe another one, i'm not sure. If someone has a list or knowledge of current alternative dashs it would be a nice addon for the guide. _________________________________________________________ Predtech

Believe me, FSD is the only dashboard you will want running, all the other are terrible when comparing. If your looking for cool homebrew take a look at some of the LibXenon projects, their pretty dope. _________________________________________________________
