Ever wanted to know if your expensive MIDI electronic drumkit will work with GHWT, Guitar Hero: Metallica etc etc?? That's right! I was shocked too.
Currently the "ION drumkit" (check out DJB's) is the best aftermarket kit available for the xbox 360. Ah, but it seems that the ION kit is only 100% compatible with ROCK BAND 1 & 2, and not 100% compatible with GHWT etc etc..
This means that you won't have 5 notes and only 4 to hit.. ;( - Pretty silly huh, considering you have a huge aftermarket kit!
Well, ive been doing some investigating today and have found plenty of interesting guys out there that are running modded GHWT kits via MIDI.
Anyway, thought id leave this for anyone who is serious about the drums on xbox 360.. Check out more in our tutorials area here
DJB please tell me the ION kit has a midi port man!

Unfortunately the controller portion of the ION kit does not have MIDI.
I'm guessing with the ION you would have to buy a Drum Module (which has MIDI capabilities), hook up your kit to that, then run a cable from your Module to the GHWT controller module.
In theory it should work
