Edit: When i say play xvid through wmc i mean through the xbox 360 wmc on there.
That's if you have Windows 7, I recently redid my whole computer setup and was adding that and setting up my network again for sharing and i know i had to setup through windows media center before and it would not play through there and i would have to just go directly into my computer from it. Well now you just have to setup the wmc and it works just perfect through there now. I dont know if this is old news or not but it works in windows 7 like this now for xvid format. Just figured i let some people know if they had windows 7 beta and that and have any problems let me know. _________________________________________________________ The one the only Scarface!!

What i am talking about if anyone can test this on vista or xp go onto your xbox 360 and go through windows media center through the xbox 360 and then do what all u need to do to connect between both and then go back into your xbox 360 on windows media center and see if it allows you to play xvid format files through it if not this is what i am talking about i can do on windows 7 it allows them to play through there. I am pretty sure when i had vista i was not able to go into windows media center on my xbox 360 and play xvid format movies, i had to just connect to my pc and play them through there on the xbox 360. Went over them today and it looks like about half my flicks do work and half don't.

So you accessing via the MCE button?? i wonder what its like now..
I did test it out on a Media Center PC myself and it was good but didn't play XVID/DIVX..
I play all my content through the VIDEO folder and search my network for my NAS Server now which streams my media throughout the house. _________________________________________________________ HQ Network:

ya i did the same thing too but now yes im able to access and play all my media through wmc button on the 360. To me it seems like its nicer through there then the other way.
