hi all like the new look website
my query is this in the uk the 360s are taking a real long time to come back in stock... so im thinking ill get the premium pack from lik sang in china now im thinking if i do ill get the following problems ill need a step down converter from 240v to 110v? then next problem im thinking will be game compatibility am i right in saying i wont be able to get a uk game on on it due to region coding and will i encounter any other prolems?
so what am saying is does it matter if i get one from lik sang or am i better to wait for the uk one and why ???

I would wait and just get a local one, just as you guess you would have to get a transformer, plus you are again correct in thinking that you'd have to play games for the region xbox that you buy, instead of buying a local game, you'd have to order over the internet and wait for it to be delivered.
Then you have to worry that your tv might not display ntsc signals correctly, this can be handled by some type of scart lead i'm sure though. _________________________________________________________

Dont get a Japan 360.. We have a member here already who has a JAPANESE 360 and he can only order his games from JAPAN.
Also, they do not come in english.. At all i dont think.
The Dashboard itself and most of the basic functions can be changed to english no probs but the games themselves im sure are only in JAPANESE.
I would just wait.. I got a NTSC USA version because i have to review games coming from the USA and thats the main reason.. i was just lucky enough to have someone look after me for once instead of the other way around.

Just curious... I'm assuming my USA Xbox 360 will only play Region 1 DVDs. So, a Japan Xbox 360 should play UK DVDs (ignoring PAL/NTSC issues), since they are in the same region, right?
Are the region codes for the games separate from the region codes for the DVDs? If they are the same, wouldn't UK games work in a Japan Xbox 360? In reading in the Xbox 360 forum at Lik-Sang.com, it sounds like there will be compatibility issues, Japan vs. UK.
I realize the game region codes and the DVD region codes are probably different, but can someone ABSOLUTELY confirm this?
Couldn't he just put an X5 modchip in it to do away with region coding? (tongue-in-cheek)
Power supply issues are probably not insurmountable.
