"We're Bungie, not Halo," Bungie's music director Marty O'Donnell told 1UP (video here) at PLAY! in Chicago, recently. The development of Halo 3 is taking up a sizable chunk of Bungie's time, but the studio doesn't want to be relegated to just making Halo games forever. O'Donnell indicated members of the Bungie team have expressed interest in creating games for Xbox Live Arcade -- does that mean, as people have started to speculate, that this will be Bungie's last Halo game? "We're not walking away from Halo, because it's a great universe and a great franchise. There's lots of story that we can tell about Halo, but we're working on other stuff."
1UP News writer Patrick Klepek also quizzes Marty O'Donnell on his involvement in the Halo movie ("There's a lot of expectation and there's a lot of apprehension...") and why the Halo 3 announcement teaser opened with a piano (think Eyes Wide Shut).
