April 18 Launch Date for Final Fantasy XI on Xbox 360 Published by hellblazer55 on Monday, January 30, 2006
Square Enix made the announcement this week that not only will they be shipping a new Final Fantasy XI expansion (Treasures of Aht Urghan) for PC and PS2, but they'll also ship the original Final Fantasy XI for Xbox 360 on the same day - April 18.The expansion will be available, as we've said, for PS2 and PC gamers, and will be priced at a suggested retail of $29.99 U.S. For Xbox 360 gamers, the expansion will be included in the full package, so now all FFXI fans can play together online, and pay $12.95 a month to do it. Yeah, we know PC MMO's have always been pay to play (except Guild Wars) but it just feels weird on a console, don't you think?
