THQ Is generating alto of hype with their new game Frontlines: Fuel of War and it's rumored 50+ man multi-player ability.
Even with the website saying 32+ for players on console it has done very little to slow down the rumors of a whopping 50+.
With a little digging in the dirt i found the press release for this and it reads as follows: "FRONTLINES: FUEL OF WAR WILL SUPPORT 50 PLAYERS ON-LINE OVER XBOX LIVE!
And it’s the first 360 game to do so, thanks to dedicated European servers"
"When
Frontlines: Fuel of War launches across Europe on the Xbox 360 this Friday it will become the only first person shooter to offer on-line multi-player for over 50 players on a next-generation console. THQ and Kaos Studios have set up over 90 dedicated Xbox 360 multi-player servers across Europe and the USA live on launch day to support the most epic battles Xbox Live has ever seen…"
"The first map to support 50 player multi-player will be the Village. Starting out as an intense close-combat battle amongst the map’s numerous small buildings, the level can be literally blown apart piece by piece, transforming it into an open battlefield with nowhere to run or hide. As further dedicated servers are brought on-line to support the growing number of players, additional maps will be opened up for 50 player combat."
"The multi-player demo of
Frontlines: Fuel of War is still available to download now from Xbox Live. This demo offers two intense maps and on-line support for up to 32 players, the most players ever supported by an Xbox Live Demo."
With
Frontlines: Fuel of War hitting the shelves Friday for the 360 and PC we will soon see if the play will stay smooth with that many targets running around on your screen.
