This Wednesday on Xbox Live Arcade engage in futuristic combat in the streets of New York City with “Street Trace: NYC.”
We here at 360-hq.com were lucky enough to be invited up to the heartplace of the game itself, NYC, to get a sneak peak at the upcoming entry title from Gaiaindustries in the XBLA arena.  Set in the urban wastelands of New York City, “Street Trace: NYC” (Gaia Industries) is an all-in-one hoverboard racing and arena battle game featuring multiplayer over Xbox LIVE with up to eight players and an up to a four-way split-screen. Players can choose from four arena games, three street games and even “cash” tournaments that allow them to purchase board and weapon upgrades between games.

9 unique playable characters
7 game modes (4 arena combat, 3 racing)
6 real-world NYC locations (3 Arenas, 3 Street Circuits)
Single Player: 5 Championships and 18 Time Trials for Medals
Local Multiplayer: Split-screen (2-4 players)
Live Multiplayer: Take on 'Tracers' on Xbox Live (up to 8 players)
Upgradeable Weapons: Laser, Mines, Stampede, and Rockets
Upgradeable Board: Jump, Boost, Shields and Engines
Cash Tournaments: upgrade board and weapon between games
Pickup Matches upgrades are found during battle
