To celebrate the winter season, Rare and BigPark today announced the “Midnight Mountain Ski Pack” for “Kinect Sports: Season Two” is now available on Xbox LIVE for 400 Microsoft Points.
The “Midnight Mountain Ski Pack” is the latest in a series of game add-ons released for “Kinect Sports: Season Two.” This action-packed game add-on includes three icy cool new slopes to keep the all-ages fun going throughout the ski season and beyond. As a free test run, players can download the ‘Pitch Black’ course free of charge to get a taste of the new content and a leg up on the competition.
Dare to take on Midnight Mountain with the new Skiing content that is sure to get hearts pumping. Set against the cloak of night, the “Midnight Mountain Ski Pack” provides an avalanche of fresh downhill fun with three floodlit ski runs. The Ski pack is available in all modes and includes new achievements to test speed and agility, and Challenges to send to friends both online and offline and in the Challenge Play mode on Xbox LIVE.
The three new courses in the “Midnight Mountain Ski Pack” include:
Backwoods Blast – A high-adrenaline precision course through the forest with narrow straights, dizzying twists, and steep rollers to put your focus to the test.
Pitch Black – For skiers who like to get airborne, this terrain-heavy course sports big jumps, steep banks, giant rollers, and vertical drops, where jumping is the key to getting a great time.
After Hours – An Advanced Slalom course built for more gates and a faster rhythm – ideal for speed fanatics and classic racing fiends.

Earlier this week Microsoft announced that "Microsoft Flight" is coming to Windows this Spring. What's even better is that for a limited time everyone can signup for a free closed beta and be one of the first to play and earn some free achievements. In Microsoft Flight, players view the world from above in a visually stunning and realistic representation of the earth, complete with region-specific weather patterns, foliage, terrain and landmarks. Players can choose to take the helm using highly rendered, accurate cockpits and authentic piloting procedures, or simply use their mouse and keyboard to control the plane in an exterior view. More experienced players can tailor the flight controls to match their skill level, making Microsoft Flight easy for beginners while still challenging for the most accomplished PC pilots.

Microsoft Studios worked with the personal airplane manufacturing team at ICON Aircraft to give aviation fans the exclusive opportunity to fly the all-new ICON A5 before real-world production starts at the end of 2012. Designed by the world-class aeronautical engineers behind the Voyager spaceship, X-Prize winning SpaceShipOne, and Virgin Galatic’s SpaceShipTwo, the ICON A5 is the “jet ski for the skies,” a high-wing amphibious monoplane with a carbon fiber airframe and a comfortable, automobile-inspired cockpit with space for two. Microsoft has announced a number of changes to their Xbox LIVE Indie Games policy to enable developers to make even better content.
Welcome to 2012! We’re eager to see what our developers have in store for Xbox LIVE Indie Games in the coming year and to kick things off we have an exciting announcement regarding some changes to App Hub that make it a good time to be an Xbox LIVE Indie Games developer.
Higher maximum CCGAME size
Since the start of Xbox LIVE Indie Games, CCGAME bundles submitted for Xbox LIVE Indie Games were limited to a maximum size of 150MB. We’ve heard all the great feedback on this subject and today we are pleased to inform you that developers are now able to submit CCGAME bundles up to 500MB through App Hub for publishing on Xbox LIVE Indie Games.
New limit for 80 point games
Another area we’re adjusting today is the requirement that titles larger than 50MB be priced at either 240 or 400 points. After raising our maximum size we’ve decided to also raise this limit. Starting today you can apply the 80 point price to any game with a CCGAME size under 150MB, which is three times the current limit of 50MB.
More titles per developer
The last change affects a fewer number of developers, but we still believe it’s an important update. Originally developers were limited to just eight titles on Xbox LIVE Indie Games. When Creators Club became App Hub, we raised the limit up to ten. We’re happy today to let you know that we’re again raising this limit up to twenty titles per developer.
We’re continuing to watch our developer base and adapt the system to the needs of our creators. We hope you’re all as excited as we are to kick off 2012 with these great updates to the App Hub to enable our developers to make even better content for Xbox LIVE Indie Games.
