The next mandatory Xbox 360 system update, which is set to include new social features, beacons, Facebook sharing and many other additional updates, hits Xbox LIVE Tuesday, December 6th.
The new mandatory dashboard update will be available December 6 as soon as you connect your Xbox 360 to the Xbox Live Service.
In this update, free to all Xbox 360 console owners, you will see:
New personal and social features including Cloud Storage for Game Saves and LIVE Profile
Beacons and Facebook Sharing
Enhanced Family Settings
Integrated voice and gesture controls across the dashboard and in apps
Bing voice search (Available this year in the US, UK and CA)
In addition to all these great dashboard features, starting on December 6th and continuing on an ongoing basis through the holiday months, a wealth of new content will be coming to Xbox 360. New, customized applications for television, movies, internet videos, sports and music will begin rolling out from world-leading providers in more than 20 countries.

A free demo for Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2012, a personalized fitness game for Kinect, is now available for download via Xbox LIVE. The demo weighs in at 483.43 MB and should be available in most Xbox LIVE regions.

If you're like me, then you have been playing Skyrim non-stop for the last week. As great as the game is, it does have some flaws. This patch will hopefully fix most if not all of the problems plauging the game currently.
Bethesda has submitted patches for certification for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Skyrim, according to the tweet made by Bethesda’s Vice President of PR and Marketing, Pete Hines. A PC patch is also in the works.
Hines didn’t go into details about what the patch would be fixing, but he did say a list would be provided to gamers once the updates had passed certification. Hines estimates that the patch will arrive a week after Thanksgiving.
Also, it is worth noting that the best way to pass the time waiting for the Skyrim patch to be released is by playing Skyrim.
The new Gears of War 3 DLC looks like it won't disappoint with 10 new achievements for you to boost your gamerscore with.
Epic Games has disclosed the 10 next achievements for Gears of War 3, which will appear with the RAAM’s Shadow DLC on December 13th. The 10 achievements add up to a total of 250 gamerscore, and the difficulty level of these seem surprisingly easy. Check them out below.
-Welcome to Zeta – Complete “RAAM’s Shadow” in Standard Campaign on any difficulty. (25 points)
-Some Friendly Competition – Completed “RAAM’s Shadow” in Arcade on any difficulty. (25 points)
-Help from my Friends – Completed “RAAM’s Shadow” in 4 player co-op in Arcade or Standard Mode. (25 points)
-Finger of Doom – As RAAM, kill 50 gears using your Kryll. (15 points)
-I’m Rubber, You’re Glue – As Mauler, kill 10 Gears by reflecting their bullets using your shield. (15 points)
-Death from Above – Using the Hammer of Dawn Command Center, kill 50 Locust. (15 points)
-Unarmed and Dangerous – Using the Loader, kill 10 Locust. (15 points)

The RAAM’s Shadow DLC will be available on Xbox Live on December 13th, 2011 for the price of 1200 Microsoft Points ($15).
First and foremost, a warning — at this current time it is advised that you stay offline and avoid playing any AP2.5/XGD3 backups. It has been confirmed by the team that the dae.bin is now being silently updated on all LIVE-connected boxes.
This update is not being deployed via a SystemUpdate or TitleUpdate, but rather occurs in the background without any visual indication or prompt to the user. As such, there is no means by which it can be cancelled or avoided, other than not connecting to LIVE. If you’ve connected to LIVE in the past 24 hours, your system has likely already been updated with a changed dae.bin.
All AP2.5/XGD3 backups that contain the now older AP25 replay data will fail the system’s AP2.5 challenges and indeed flag your system (the flagging has also been confirmed by the team).
Like our news a few days ago, the dae.bin is now being changed by way of an appended challenge table in the same manner on current retail dashes (13604) as it is on the preview dash (14686), however the content of the challenge tables differ. The team has determined that the appended challenge table appears to be unique per console and contains indentifying information. This means that everyone’s dae.bin is different, and can potentially be traced back to your specific console. Therefore, sharing your dae.bin with others is not advisable.
