"Bioshock" was one of the biggest games of 07 and has taken an obscene amount of awards and titles for everything from game play to sound track.
It comes as no surprise that a game of this caliber will be getting a sequel or that 2K will be trying to keep the original staff together for this game.
One of the big names that made this game such a hit is Ken Levine and when asked Strauss Zelnick said: "Ken is a terrific asset in the company, and he's a brilliant game developer. ... He will be working on Bioshock 2 and he will be working on a new IP."
"A lot of the work will be done at 2K Marin, but that's not to say Ken is not involved. He's critical to Bioshock,"
With Bioshock being such a big hit i for one am unsure of what could be done to really shake up the game this time around but lets hope the 2K team doesn't have the same problem.
EA has been well known for sports games and family friendly content but it looks like they want to try a shot at the M rated titles with "Dead Space".
The move to M rated games is a big one for EA and came out of left field but how can you make a space horror game and not include violent and graphic content and still keep it interesting, well you cant so they have pushed the limit of the M rating.
Executive producer of Dead Space Glen Schofield said “EA is always like: ‘We’re going to make T-rated games, sports games.’… The idea with this game was: ‘We are M. We’re clearly in the middle of M, if not M-plus.’”
I don't know about you guys but this is music to my ears and i cant wait to see the game in all its blood soaked glory.
Dead Space is set to release Halloween of 08 for 360, PS3 and PC.
