Rock Band Gets New Thrash Tracks

Rock Band Gets New Thrash Tracks
Published by: wes213 on Sunday, March 16, 2008
Tagged: Gaming, Live Marketplace, Xbox 360, Xbox Live,

I wish i had more i could say about the three new Rock Band tracks that will soon be out for download but the truth is i have never heard a single song by any of the bands listed.

The one good thing is all three should be hardcore and heavy as hell and from what i have see in life you cant go wrong with hardcore music.

So what say we take a peek at one of the tracks now by The Haunted "D.O.A."

Tuesday, March 18th Harmonix will release an Earache Thrash Pack to the XBLM and the track list will look like this:

  • At the Gates "Blinded By Fear" (160 Microsoft )
  • Evile "Thrasher" (160 Microsoft )
  • The Haunted "D.O.A." (160 Microsoft )

Roumor Of All Free Burnout DLC Not True

Roumor Of All Free Burnout DLC Not True
Published by: wes213 on Sunday, March 16, 2008
    Tagged: Gaming, Xbox 360,

Last night videogaming247.com made a report on info found on Criterion’s company forums that stated that all DLC for Burnout Paradise wold be free and have since found that to be not so true.

Criterion’s Alex Ward clarifies with this statement: “I stated yesterday that access to the new downloadable islands in Burnout Paradise would be free,” Ward told videogaming247. “That’s not to say ALL of the downloadable content we are working on will be free. We will charge (price TBC) for some stuff. What’s important to know is that we see DLC in a totally different way. So far, with many games, DLC has been secondary ‘extras’ type stuff, a different costume in an RPG, a different car in a racing game, and so on. We see DLC as significant additional content which expands the game experience. We see it as continuing to develop the game which we worked on. Taking it further almost to the point of making a new game.

“New game modes are very important to us, but it’s about more than that. Expect more details soon, I’d love to say more but we’re still working on this stuff.”

The news is still good but not as good as it seemed yesterday, as always the HQ news staff will bring you more info as we find it.

    XBLA Makes Room For CAPCOM

    XBLA Makes Room For CAPCOM
Published by: wes213 on Sunday, March 16, 2008
Tagged: Gaming, Live Arcade, Xbox 360,

Right now XBLA has a cap on the size of downloads of 150MB and it looks like they are willing to cut CAPCOM some slack for a few games that just need more space.

Bionic commando: Rearmed and Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix will need more space to keep up with the PC and PSN versions or CAPCOM will need to cut the bonus material or cut down on the graphics to meet the 150MB standards.
Thank God this wont be the case and Microsoft will make an exception For them to go past the set mark and bring us the full game the way CAPCOM wanted us to play it.

Konami's Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, was the first game to brake the size rule of 50MB and got it moved up to 150MB so we will keep an i out to see if Bionic commando: Rearmed and Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix will get the bar raised for all games or if this is a one time pass.

DICE Announces Multiplayer Beta Program For Battlefield: Bad Company Shipping June 2008.

Battlefield: Bad Company's new Multi-Player Mode focuses the battle oo one point instead of splitting the fight up over the whole battlefield. The main new multiplayer mode in Bad Company is called "Gold Rush" and features one attacking and one defending team and lots of gold crates.

Pre-order Battlefield: Bad Company from gamestop and they will send you a exclusive BETA code as soon as they become available.

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.– March 13, 2008– DICE, a studio of Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS) today announced the multiplayer beta test for Battlefield: Bad Company on the Xbox 360™ video game system from Microsoft®. IGN Founders’ Club and IGN Insider will offer keys to members and the public in North America and Europe to participate in the multiplayer beta test starting March 17 provided by IGN’s popular game download site FilePlanet ( http://www.fileplanet.com). In addition, keys will also be available through IGN Entertainment’s gaming Web sites including IGN.com, GameSpy, TeamXbox, Planet Battlefield and Voodoo Extreme. Battlefield: Bad Company will launch on the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360 in June 2008.

“We are really excited for this beta as it gives us a chance for great feedback on how to polish the experience of our multiplayer mode; Gold Rush,” stated Karl-Magnus Troedsson, Senior Producer for Battlefield: Bad Company. “Battlefield and FPS fans get their first glimpse into how tactical destruction can be applied in multiplayer gameplay. We think offering these two very different maps will give gamers a fantastic experience and some great insight into the game.”

The Battlefield: Bad Company multiplayer beta test will give players a chance to return to the battlefield to embark on an exciting mission to capture the spoils of war. Gamers will battle through two different maps, access new infantry kits and vehicles as well as experience the unique tactical destruction in Battlefield: Bad Company that changes the way first-person shooter games are played. With an unlimited upgrade tree and rewards, the multiplayer beta gives players the exhilaration, excitement and fun that awaits them when the final game ships later this summer.

Here comes the classic top down shooter that we all played at some point while waiting for mom to finish shopping.

I know what your thinking,"how can thay make this classic better then it was?" well simple its still a top down shooter with 2D graphix but now the visuals are actually 3D and wide screen.

Its good to see a 24 year old game get its second chance in the sun and not get layed to rest with the rest of the 2D games, 1942: Joint Strike is set to arrive on Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network this summer and features 3d graphics and online co-op play.

    COD4 New Maps Details Released!

    COD4 New Maps Details Released!
Published by: gamexxover on Thursday, March 13, 2008
Tagged: Gaming, Live Marketplace, Xbox 360,

Ok guys, you know you been waiting for it, some official details on the New Maps that will be coming out for "Call of Duty 4".

360-Hq.Com only just recently reported on the rumoured COD4 maps which are to be released shortly and it looks like we got some of the info right. lol

The exact release date is still not known but I can give you an idea what to look forward to.

First... We can look forward to not 3 maps but 4. And yes, If you play on a console you will have to pay for them, IW has not decided yet how they will release for PC as PC users are use to getting maps for free, So if you are a PC user you may luck out.

The 4 maps will be....BROADCAST, CREEK (pictured above), KILL HOUSE, and CHINATOWN.

Broadcast is carried over from the single mission game but is said to be expanded and modified, It is mostly indoors with 2 floors, but you can also access the roof and parking lot which has been expanded to include another small building. Broadcast will be the only map carried forward, the 3 remaining maps will be completely new and said to be totaly non middle east, non russian locals.

Creek is said to be a very large outdoor map with a line of buildings/houses on one side. A deep rocky creek that circles and crosses the middle of the map with alot of bush on its rim for snipers to blend in, It is also said to have a lengthy winding cave system and a waterfall.

ChinaTown, not much info given on this map except that the name says it all.

Kill House, this is said to be a bonus map and was not showen nor any further details released about it other than its name. Except for this Quote " think of the single-player campaign's initial training level as a reference", So I would assume lots of plywood and card board cutouts of bad guys.
