Computerandvideogames.com reported: Capcom has given the first details on a new downloadable content pack for Resi 5, which will add some new multiplayer functions, as we reported yesterday.
Capcom explains: "Versus allows up to four players to match wits in online battles across two very different game types. Slayer's Rule is a point-based game that challenges players to kill Majinis. In Survivor's Rule, players hunt the most dangerous game, each other! Players can begin the hunt as Chris, Sheva or other secret characters, and choose from either one-on-one or two-versus-two team matches for either of the two gameplay styles."
Versus will be available on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network "a few weeks after" Resident Evil 5 ships this Friday. It will cost 400 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE or €4.99/£3.99 on the PlayStation Network.
While that price is not high at all it would seem that Capcom is really getting the hang of the DLC game, i just hope they don't step over the line and start charging for things gamers have come to expect to be in the game from day one.
Last year, Electronic Arts introduced players to a world of mercenaries, co-operative gameplay and gold plated automatic weapons. Army of Two took players on a globetrotting adventure where you needed to use co-op strategy with your partner to survive various hotspots. As Salem and Rios, two ex-Army Rangers turned mercenaries, you battle through different warzones to uncover a conspiracy that could threaten America and the world. But there's no rest for these two soldiers, as today Electronic Arts announced the sequel to the co-op action game. The story of The 40th Day places Salem and Rios in the middle of Shanghai, China, as a disaster of epic proportions strikes the city. While they happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, they are the right men to react to the chaos. As they fight their way through ruined districts of the city, they discover more and more catastrophes are being orchestrated to devastate Shanghai piece by piece. It's up two Salem and Rios to uncover the secret of the 40th Day and survive the chaos.
Eidos Interactive, Inc. and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announce that Battlestations: Pacific is set to release on the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and Games for Windows LIVE in North America on May 12, 2009. Battlestations: Pacific is rated "T" for Teen.
Battlestations: Pacific takes the critically-acclaimed action/strategy gameplay of Battlestations: Midway to the next level with more intense, strategic combat. Players can take to the skies and seas through two massive, action-packed campaigns across 28 missions, featuring some of the most decisive naval battles in history.
A historically accurate U.S. campaign puts players in command of the U.S. Navy's Pacific fleet through the Battles of Guadalcanal and on to Iwo Jima, Okinawa and victory. For the first time, players have a chance to rewrite history, commanding a Japanese campaign as the Imperial Japanese Navy from Pearl Harbor to Asia, Australia and beyond, expanding its empire throughout the Pacific Rim.
