Just popping in real fast to announce the release date for Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2. I know a lot of guys on this board, including me, are looking forward to this game, so this should be good news.
The Game Developers Conference 2009 awards ended with a bang a few minutes ago as Infinity Ward unveiled the long-awaited teaser trailer for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 2. It doesn't show much but it does include a firm release date. Not a huge surprise as far as the timing goes, but it's nice to know that the sequel will officially be hitting retail stores on November 10, 2009 for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC.
After the freezing and the texture load problems found in Fallout 3's new DLC yesterday the DLC was taken off the Xbox Live Marketplace. Bethesda was quick to act and seem to already have the problem under control.
Microsoft and Bethesda have re-uploaded The Pitt DLC for Fallout 3. This file was removed from the Xbox Live Marketplace yesterday after everyone found out the file was corrupted, causing a freeze problem that happened when trying to load the Downtown area.
Those who purchased and downloaded The Pitt yesterday, will have to delete the file before downloading this new version.
After 20 years someone is finally deciding to recreate bionic commando. This game is looking good, and even though I have never played the original I am excited to see how this game turns out.
Capcom is pleased to confirm that the highly-anticipated Bionic Commando will ship to retailers in North America on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Reloaded for the latest generation of hardware, Bionic Commando sees the return of the ultimate fusion of man and machine as Nathan Spencer is back as a government operative who, after distinguishing himself in a fierce conflict against the Imperials, is betrayed and falsely imprisoned by the very people he unquestioningly served. However, when bio terrorists detonate an experimental device over Ascension City and then occupy it, there is only one option open to the authorities – reactivate Nathan Spencer.
The upcoming new generation game, first released 20 years ago with the 8-bit original on the NES, is making a big comeback when it hits retail shelves this spring as it features an in-depth multiplayer mode that will have you swinging with friends around the globe via Xbox Live.
The first details on Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts' downloadable content have cropped up, via an Achievement list for the DLC that's just appeared on Xbox.com. As hinted by Rare earlier this month, it looks like the add-on includes "L.O.G.'s Lost Challenges" as well as a new mental retro game from big green bloke Klungo. The Achievement list also confirms new multiplayer modes for the game. For now check out the full list of new achievements below:

Today, Ubisoft announced the launch of R.U.S.E., a new intellectual property developed by Eugen Systems, creators of the critically acclaimed strategy title Act of War: Direct Action(TM). R.U.S.E. is scheduled for release on Windows PC, the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system for fiscal year 2009/2010.
R.U.S.E. is optimized for Intel's latest core processors, including the Intel® Core I7 processor, and will be demonstrated for the first time in public at the Intel booth during the Game Developers Conference.
R.U.S.E. is a one-of-a-kind real-time strategy game that allows players to bluff their enemies to lead their nation to victory, controlling the action using views that range seamlessly from the heart of the battlefield to the full theatre of war. Players will be plunged into the action thanks to the exclusive IRISZOOMTM Engine which offers an intuitive interface that allows for smooth, rapid transitions from a birds-eye view of the entire conflict, down into the heat of the battle and vice versa.
"With R.U.S.E., Ubisoft is once again shaking up a genre, offering an RTS with a twist that will thrill gamers,” said Tony Key, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Ubisoft.
"Ubisoft is known for innovation and R.U.S.E. continues that tradition, offering the most immense and detailed maps ever seen in an RTS. Players can explore the maps using IRISZOOM Engine, which provides an aerial, smooth interaction unlike anything ever seen before.”
Ubisoft and Intel are committed to working together to ensure R.U.S.E. takes full advantage of Intel technologies.
"Ubisoft and Intel are demonstrating some of the benefits gamers will experience when playing R.U.S.E. on the Intel® Core(TM)i7 processor based platforms,” said Elliot Garbus, vice president Intel Software and Services Group, general manager Visual Computing Software Division. "Gamers will experience more immersive game play with smooth zooming from satellite to ground view, superior AI delivering more complex unit movements and more realistic physics throughout the game.” In R.U.S.E., players use their brain as the ultimate weapon, fighting a war of perception, where the ability to deceive and mislead the enemy determines success. A first in a strategy game, R.U.S.E. reinvigorates the genre by using deception to give new-found depth to the game play.
The option to download "The Pitt" was available only briefly this morning before being removed from Xbox Live Marketplace.
Apparently the English version was ripe with bugs and was described as corrupted.
Developers stated that the bad files would be replaced A.S.A.P but no indication was given on just when that might be. Also the extent and exact nature of the bugs / errors was not disclosed.
Any one that may have been unlucky enough to download the bad version before its shut down, Please feel free to share in our forums any negative experiences you may have come across, their nature and / or if It loaded at all.
