My votes for the consumer because so far we seem to be doing pretty good.

The main stream WILL care. To this day because of the negative press many think PS3 was a tank and that even slim 360 RROD. Negative press around Vista killed it, Windows 8 is fighting a major uphill battle because of all the bad reviews. I cant fathom how people can think something along the lines of "Oh they tried to butt-sex me without any lube but I wuv you now" Things like that stick in peoples craw and doesnt go away. You are in the vast minority of the people Tweaked who said they didnt care about all the BS. The massive campaign over the past while against M$ and XBOX-LameName shows they seriously pissed off a very large chunk of the user base. Check other gameing sites, tons of 360 diehards are going PS4 on release.

As for apps they should ditch the crap. I hated all that bloat on 360, along with shameless ad whoreing. If I want to use Skype, stream a movie, go online I have something for that, its called a PC. M$ has no originality these add-ons are a lame attempt to copy what the homebrew scene did with XBOX1. But what M$ fails to understand is that the homebrew scene made it because people want emulators, people want to be able to put in any HDD they want, people want a media player thats not codec starved like WMP. And people with taste dont want to use Internet Explorer.

P$4 will win this round, M$ shot themselves in the foot a few times too many.

A console is a shrunken down version of a PC with more limitations.

Yes, and it's made for entertainment only

Last I checked consoles were for games hence the term "video game console" Very Happy Its just like cell phones. Its a damn phone not a mini-game console, wimpy mini-PC. I wish they would leave stuff like this alone and stick to what it should be.

Yeah lets play some Halo and go on Facebook and watch some ads telling me Justin Bieber is doing a concert. At the very least at first setup they should give the option to wipe all that crap, and if you are a Live subscriber not hit you with ads. That frosted my nuts more than anything on 360. What ever happened to the good old days when a console was a console?

They should keep the apps and keep making them better on both xbox one and the 360.

There was a time that games sucked on PCs (text based anyone - boring), why don't you complain now that gaming can be great on a PC? Maybe PC's should be limited to just homework, office stuff, you know productivity. To me that would be stupid.

To only have games on a console is to limit that console. If something has the power to do more, let it do more. Who's to say what a console should have. A console doesn't only have to do with games, it can be nearly anything or combination of things. You can make a console of anything. I just am posting the definition of consoles to show that they do not have to be limited to only gaming. It is up to the console maker to describe what the console does.

con·sole 2 (knsl)
n.
1.
a. A cabinet for a radio, television set, or phonograph, designed to stand on the floor.
b. A small freestanding storage cabinet.
2. Music The desklike part of an organ that contains the keyboard, stops, and pedals.
3.
a. A central control panel for a mechanical, electrical, or electronic system.
b. An instrument panel.
4. The portion of a computer or peripheral that houses the apparatus used to operate the machine manually and provides a means of communication between the computer operator and the central processing unit, often in the form of a keyboard.
5. A small storage compartment mounted between bucket seats in an automobile.
6. An often scroll-shaped bracket used for decoration or for supporting a projecting member, such as a cornice or shelf.
7. A console table.

Oh, I completely disagree about the mainstream. They are the ones that have the least knowledge and understanding of the consoles. You can't care about things you do not know about. The main steam actually likes all the features, the more the better and always will but the price is maybe the biggest factor. It was not the mainstream we were seeing a reaction from this last week, nope that was the hardcore. Harecore about things that don't even matter too.

I dont complain on PC because control rests with me Yeah tons of shitty games have come out for PC (When I can, damn you RES Evil ORC) I avoid them. For m if XBOX-One truly was like a win7 PC Id support it. But as long as you get 360-esque forced ads and lame apps with inferior GPU I will see it as buying a lame lock-down PC. If you check my posts Tweaked a douche has released a M$ grade lock down arcade emu. And I take pride in saying I hacked his hack emu to remove the locks.

As for power fuck lame apps. Pardon my french, but all power should go to games. Seriously man, no offense, but no hardcore gamer wants Skype and IE. We want top flight games, social media can go butt sex each other

And when you dictionary search do it in cotext. Video game console wont bring up those results. A radio music or place to hold fancy dishes has 0 just like many of the other above to do with video game consoles

SPPV is right, the WiiU is no slouch, it can run 1080p games at 60fps for example. The only thing you all have to back up the Xbox one with it the Kinect and cloud gaming and extra bells and whistles. Lame. Oh and the controller, which is a beauty. Who gives a shit. Nintendo thinks the same way. You don't need high end this and that to have fun with games.

Watch Dogs is a pretty graphical intense game which will be on wiiu.

Anyone who thinks a console has to run super hd game and back up with pretty bells and whistles is a retard.

So yes I'll be buying WiiU eventually.

Like SPPV said hardcore gamers don't need extra bullshit.

I'm really sadden by HQ atm. Think back in the early 80s when you guy's thought two lines going across the screen followed by a dot was amazing.

People these days are so hard headed.
