ok, so i did some snooping around over at xbox.com. I found some very useful information im not sure if everyone knows yet or not. What i read is that all systems that suffer from the RROD or Hardware failure as some put it, ALL get an extended 3 year warranty instead of the standard 1 year warranty. To me this information was awesome as its been 2 years since my console was manufactured.
Yes they implemented that program awhile back because of all the rrod's. But yes it is a awesome deal them extending to 3 years warranty. But it also was the right thing to do considering they threw out a bunch of crap first telling people that they were abusing the systems and stuff knowing full well what was wrong was they were making the 360's in third world countries that don't even have indoor plumbing just so they could save on manufactures cost. Hopefully you don't have to go through the mess that dbeal did. Even though he got a bunch of free stuff because of it. But I mean cmon how many controllers can you use at once anyhow? _________________________________________________________

Thats good that you have the warranty, you can send it back, they can stick some old spare parts that are lying around in it, send it back to you a month later for you to find out there is something else wrong with it, you keep sending it back until the 3 year warranty is up and then have to go out and buy a new one anyway. Hopefully they would have figured out how to make reliable hardware by then, perhaps they should ask Sony how it's done
It's nice to know they give a damn. Oh yeah they do, i forgot, they gave us that fantastic game for the christmas outage, thanks v. much.
I was just wondering, if you get the rrod and you had xbl membership, would they reimburse you the remainder? I recon not though.
Thats why when my old xbox 360 broke i just bought a new arcade so i wouldn't have to deal with that stuff. I had the sticker off all nicely and stuff, and could have easily put it back on, but i knew it wouldn't matter because they are so slow. _________________________________________________________

I got my 360 back in like 2 weeks max from the date I shipped it to them. It depends where you live on how fast you will get it back.
Yours was fast because it only had to go like 2 or 3 states to get to texas (sorry i dont where kentucky is exactly). From my house to texas it would have to pass something like 5-6 states i believe. _________________________________________________________

So I want to get a 360, but I have enough systems right now to last me. I'm waiting until I get a guarantee that all of the bugs have been worked out of them. If people are still getting the three rings, then I'm not going to waste my money. I do really want one though. Does anyone know how things are coming with them? I hear a lot of people say that there 80gb is doing fine and others say that theirs has burnt up like three times already. how would I get new info on them? _________________________________________________________
