Just an update: Shimmering Isles (which is reported to hit the market place the 27th) is adding 10 more achievements to Oblivion bringing the total gamer points to 1250. This also breaks the myth that games can only have 50 achievements.
Thanks for posting this. This makes me really happy. Where you hear this? Now the huge add-ons have more worth sort-of-speak.
I just can't decided if I'll buy the retail version or just get it on xbox live.
Forahobby, your right this game is right up my ally as was Morrowind on the old xbox. Someday we'll have this sort of game on live on the 360 and that will be a great day indeed.
I too would like all the mods on the PC plus you can make your own. There are some really incredible mods on the PC. I may get the PC version too just to see them. _________________________________________________________ 10% VIP Discount (Coupon Code: HQ-VIP-001 ) - Signup for web hosting at www.TweakedHosting.com/clients/aff.php?aff=004 and earn the HQ network of sites recurring income!

Ok I just finished the Shivering Isles add-on main quest. For a whooping 2,400 MS points, I have to say it was a tad short. It works along the lines of a Guild quest where you are given ranks for doing certain quests. None of them are overly challenging.
I would suggest getting this game if you love, not just like, Oblivion. If you are a Gamerscore whore who wants 100% in your games (I'll admit to this one). If you are neither of the two I'd say avoid it. It's not really a must have. _________________________________________________________ At ease soldier.

Yeah, I just briefly tried it out last night and I like it. I do think the price is steep. The quest is not small and there is a nice sized piece of land to explore. Like he said, if you have a super hero character it will be a breeze. Remember, they said it would also accommodate a new character so really was not supposed to be hard. You could just up your hardness slider if you want a real challenge.
So yes you can wipe thru this in a jippy but if you are like me and like to explore everything it will take longer than 30 hours. I have spent over almost 300 hours in Oblivion and my character is crazy tough. I just don't play for the achievements but I like them as a reward. Cheers! Just my thoughts on it. _________________________________________________________ 10% VIP Discount (Coupon Code: HQ-VIP-001 ) - Signup for web hosting at www.TweakedHosting.com/clients/aff.php?aff=004 and earn the HQ network of sites recurring income!

I raised the slider all the way up and started a new character. I couldn't make it out of the Tutorial. Heck I couldn't make it past the first hostile encounter. Those two rats tore me up.
But I finished the main quest and did some of the side quests. But in my opinion is was to short. Some quests were fun and challenging but not the way I thought it was going to be. If I were to make a suggestion to the developers (hope it's not Bethesda. They have learned to hate my name because of Legacy.) make an Elder Scrolls V. This mod and add on stuff is fine but I think I speak for everyone in saying that we want a whole game. You could pretty much poop out a game and I'll buy it if you stamp that Elder Scrolls logo on it. _________________________________________________________ At ease soldier.

I hear ya, I would certainly like a whole new game for sure. Maybe the whole world. Now that would be huge! _________________________________________________________ 10% VIP Discount (Coupon Code: HQ-VIP-001 ) - Signup for web hosting at www.TweakedHosting.com/clients/aff.php?aff=004 and earn the HQ network of sites recurring income!

Hey guys, I have Oblivion on long term lone from my brother and love just messing arround and exploring the place, but I do have a question, when I put the game in my system it allways says " update available" can someone tell me what the update does?
I like to use the glitch in the game where you can use your bow and arrows to multiply certain items like more arrows, I allways choose no on the update because I am affraid it will stop the multiply items from working anymore,
can any one tell me what that update does, and if anyone has got the update if the multiply items still works.
Thanks guys

Hate to say it but yes the version 1.2 patch made it impossible to use the arrow dupe glitch. But it is required to download if you want the Shimmering Isles add-on. If your not having any problems with the game and don't want the mod don't download the patch.
It's easy making money in the game even without the arrow glitch. I have close to 100,000 septims all the spells, some awesome armor, and a pretty good sword. Now if I could only cast all of those spells. Dang Nords and their limited Magicka.
On the same Oblivion topic what race/class do you all play? Right now I'm playing a Nord warrior/thief but finding it kinda boring hacking and slashing my way through enemies. I'd throw the occasional fireball in but that drains my magicka way to fast. _________________________________________________________ At ease soldier.

Can you still get the ultimate weapon? You know that hidden one your not supposed to have? I was thinking of tricking the glitch to get it.
I play as an Imperial - Assassin/Thief, my magic is not that great but I can still do a lot with magic. I have over 400,000 septims and I buy every house, invest in stores, bribe people and basically throw money around all the time. I never have tried the Arrow Duplication trick thing and I guess I can't since I have all the latest updates and Shivering Isles.
Money is no problem in Oblivion once you are at higher levels because almost all bad guys have expensive items. _________________________________________________________ 10% VIP Discount (Coupon Code: HQ-VIP-001 ) - Signup for web hosting at www.TweakedHosting.com/clients/aff.php?aff=004 and earn the HQ network of sites recurring income!
