Are you saying you flashed the drive and everything went ok? Then you did not restore it?

If that is the case your drive should be flashed. After a firmware flash you do not need to restore it. Restoring puts your old firmware back on.

ok if thats the case then why when it said all done and i powered down my drive wouldnt work.....it wouldnt open and it gave me a e64/e65 error....i was sraced....but its fixed.....but i just wanna know if that guy on ebay from honk konk would really send a new drive....but why did my drive do that.....it was in mode b from the slax cd and i saw it in xp and i flashed it until it said all done and it still bricked on me....what did i do wrong? or was it a bad flash....cuzz i do wanna play back ups....please help me

Try contacting llamma.com

They offer Xbox 360 repair services. It sounds like a brick.

You could try manually opening the drive and reflashing like sjohn said.
