My son has a computer in his room and has a wireless connection to the internet, Is it possible to connect the xbox 360 to his computer with the network cable and get on xbox live. When I hooked it up this way the xbox 360 shows up as a network connection but with local access only. I was able to plug into the wireless router and connect to xbox live, but it's not possible to run the cable all the way to his room. I know that I could buy the wireless network adapter, but thought I would check to see if anyone has connected this way.
Yeah man just bridge the wireless card and the network card and set the network to share the internet connection.
It should be as ez as opening the nnetwork manager and highlite the wireless card and the networkcard at the same time and right click to see the bridge connection setting.

Thanks wes213 for your help! I did what you said and got it working perfectly, I even set up media center without a problem.
I so woulda answered that question! But no Wes had to beat me to it. But of course the only reason I knew about that was because Wes talked me through it on the phone. You the man Wes! _________________________________________________________
