Well I now have finally begun to experience problems with my 360. It has frozen on three seperate discs. On call of duty 2 i tried two brand new discs and every time i would get to one point on the map it would freeze and i could not play the game any further. Also, it recently happened on nfs:mw when I crashed into a wall the game just locked up. This kinda sucks since I wanted to try playing cod2 but I cant play past the first hour....even if i save and let it sit for awhile when i get to the point where its either going to checkpoint or something it cuts out...oh well, does anyone that has sent theirs back had any luck with turn around times and have any tips for me. Thanks. _________________________________________________________ Xbox V1.6

I still havent had a problem with mine at all..
Been playing as much as possible and leaving it running all day..
Noting i can see as a prob.. Maybe just a few bad 360's got through quality testing..
The only lockup i ever get is occassionally on XBOX LIVE but thats due to my lag and internet connection trying to play with guys from usa/uk.. Apart from that never a problem with anything..

ive got one core and one premium, and have had no problems at all with either of them.
they both lay horizontal, and the premium runs many hours at a time and almost daily since we got it. the core runs fine even without the case on it... but i watch the temp carefully anytime the airscoop isnt on _________________________________________________________ .

The only problem Ive been having with my xbox is that when i turn it on sometimes i get nothing on the screen. After i turn it off and back on again it works fine.

I turned on my xbox 360 one time and after actually getting into the race (PGR 3), I started seeing red and blue dots. Than it got worse and everything had red and blue outlines. So I turned it off and it fixed itself.
I have also seen quite a few times where the picture seems to get horizontal bars all over. I tried moving the xbox 360 to get more air and I haven't seen the problem again so far....
i just had the same problem! also after pgr3 i tried some game demos and it got worse, finally i rebooted and it worked fine.. i think pgr3 is the problem not the heat.. _________________________________________________________ °°

What a pain in the @$#%@#$. Oblivion was freezing all the time. I would be playing through a quest and totally get into it and forget to save for a while and in the middle of going through one of the rediculously long load times, it would just freeze. So, I called Bethesda and they told me to clear out my harddrive cash, since then it seems okay. Kinda stupid that you would have to do that, shouldn't their be a patch? I mean, since Microsoft is the master of patching, you figure they could do us all a favor.

Hi bladzalot,
So how do you clear your hard drive cache on 360 with oblivion??
Do you just hold start while its booting or something??
I cant remember.. I did read it somewhere..

Most of the time you just turn the xbox on with the controller and hold A, I think it's posted somewhere on these forums, not sure off hand though. _________________________________________________________

only one problem with mine...the day I got it, started playing online with the headset and wireless controller. I noticed everytime i slightly moved the headset adapter, or muted the mic, I got a crunchy, static sound. After messing with it enough, the mic stopped working, and Best Buy wanted me to take the whole console in for exchange. i just bought a new mic from Best buy, swapped them, and had my girlfriend return it. I told her to say, "I thought it was for the regular xbox". of course the bought the story coming from her, and I was left with a brand new headset.
No further problems since. _________________________________________________________
