Ok, i cut into my first case last night and all I did was cut a roundish oval / rectangle shape out. My question is what do you guys use to cut with? I used my dremel with a cutting bit, but found it somewhat difficult. What makes it hard is that since the dremel is a rotary tool, it obviously is cutting while the bit is spinning which means it has a tendency to want to grab or go in a bit of a circle. The main part I found difficult was the rounded corners because i wanted all of them to look the same. I had to spend a hell of a long time shaping the edges and corners to get them to look the same.
1. is there a better bit for this or different tool you guys use.
2. when you cut out the side and use a window, it eliminates 2 screws that normally assist in the dvd drive support, how much of a big deal is it for these two to be gone?
thanks

I know Talismoon do a window cutting tool, not sure if it is just a special pair of scissors. A router would do the job i would have thought but i have not cut into my case so i can't give definate answers.
One thing i wanted to know was the best way to cut the vent bit of the metal case where the fans are. I had a quick look but the metal is about 3 inches thick (bit of an over exaggeration). _________________________________________________________ Opinions are like arse holes, everybody has one and your's stinks.

I just used a normal cutting bit (it looks like a drill bit actually), but I think i used one that is too big. After reading, I see alot of folks use chisel bits, and small ones.

They sell a dremel bit made for cutting plastic/acrylic. Small metal bit sorta looks like a small saw.

Just wondering because I find some online all the time and they all look so straight and professional, but with the method I am using, there is no way and I have a pretty steady hand / artistic. I guess I just had the wrong bit.
