Okay was wondering if I should get the regular edition or go all out and get the collectors edition? Does the 89.00 justify the collectors edition is what I am really asking. Thanks everyone! Very Happy

I dunno, personally I couldn't justify the purchase, but I can justify the game purchase as it is amazing Smile Anyone else get the collectors edition? If so what do you think of it?

I got the SE and i like it but its kind of a GTA fan thing, that and the SE was all i could get on the release date since the plain copy's sold out quick.

Heres a link to the pic i took of all the stuff in it. Wink

I would say if your a fan of GTA or a fan of collecting things then get it, If you just want to play the game just get the regular edition, you still get a fold up map with the regular one too!

Regular edition is the way to. I just want the game. You are buying a game. An extra 30 bucks for some useless crap that will just get looked at once and then never touched again. That's how the game companies get you. But then again it is entirely up to you.

exactly.. Like the Rainbow Six Vegas SE.. All you got were SOME MSN icons, some wallpapers and other crap.. Nothing even worth getting.

If they offer exclusive content for SE' i will get them but if they dont i normally don't bother.

With GTA IV SE you get a music CD (i haven't even opened) duffel bag, art book, rock star key chain and lock box. Wink

Its not exclusive content but beats the hell out of a theme pack and some icons i guess. LOL

Case in point. Call of Duty 4 Game of the year edition. The only thing that you get out of that one is the downloadable maps. If you didn't have the game it's great but if you already own it is useless. As for a lockbox for GTA4, WTF. Or any of the other crap that came with the game. It is the same all over the industry. The worst is Halo3. I am not knocking Halo3 cuz I have my days that I feel like playing a little Halo. But damn, A Legendary edition, Limited Edition, and a Regular Edtion, Guess which one I bought, Regular of course. Helmet that maybe your cat can put on. They are in it to make money and they do.

I got the limited edition for halo 3 and got screwed because the discs were all scratched up when they got to me. I really wanted to get the legendary edition but money was tight back then and I couldn't justify the pricetag. But now if I ran across one that was stilled sealed I would get it just for the helmet! That thing looks so sweet sitting on a desk or whatever. And the color scheme is sweet too of course. Very Happy But I agree in general the special edition aren't all that special. Thanks for the input guys! Very Happy

I am not sure games nowadays become worth more after years like games of old. What with games nowadays being mass produced it is not like in the old days when it was hard to find a copy of a certain game like suikoden 1 or especially 2. I think the days of things becoming worth more after a couple of years are over for games at least. Sad
