"Also, Spike TV will be airing a special episode of GametrailersTV this Friday at 1 AM that will have the world exclusive unveiling of the third map in the upcoming Variety Map Pack for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. So be sure to check out that episode which will include exclusive gameplay footage from the map as well as an interview we did with them at GDC this year."

I will still play the game even now, but dont plan on paying for the maps unless Im going to be playing alot. I dont see that happening. If you are playing it and see me online playing something else and need some players feel free to invite me over. Im just not going to invest alot of time in it like I did before.
After the patch I have been getting spawn killed so much which I found so frustrating that it just took the fun out of the game for me so I put it away till they get that fixed.
Also, I might be willing to pay to play the new maps if I knew I would be able to play them alot, but you know how the rotation works, you end up doing some maps over and over and other maps you might see once in an entire night of game play.
I would hate to pay for the new maps, realy looking forward to them, and end up playing 1 new map once in like a 2 hour or more period, and yet in the same time period play another map 8 times. sometimes when a map I like comes up, im like yes, finely. then Someones like, vote this shit, then the map gets voted past and its gone. You would be there all night after each match thinking, please let the next map be a new one. Sure i could go to a privat match but but what fun is that.
When rainbow 6 let people pick thier map and every one was playing mostly calypso and some other maps took a long time to get enough people in, I thought that letting people do that was a bad idea. But all it realy did was make you wait a little longer to fill a room if your map was not popular, but everyone got to play in maps that they liked.
The main problem with the rotation is the host migration which is not actualy a host migration, it just puts everyone together in a new game, starting up a new string of maps over again.
Dont get me wrong, COD4 is a kick ass game, but its one of the only games of its kind that does not have some kind of map prefference or even a vote of what map you would like to play like BF2 has. It basicly gives you 1 chance to vote pass 1 map. If you play in a map and both sides have a great game, and your like, Hey we need to do that one again, or have a rematch, your basicly out of luck because you are forced to another map. Even in the beta with those 3 maps, people were saying the same thing in the IW boards.
But now im just bitchin. Its still a realy good game.

Some more news. The map chinatown is not a completely new map but rather a reskined version of Carantan from COD2, the buildings have been reskined and oriental lighting added to give it a Chinatown feel. it will be a well lighted night map with a modern city scene with skyscrapers in the distant background. Keep an eye out for the video that should be posted on the site very soon.
Here are some cool screens I snagged of Chinatown to hold you over.....
This first one is Carantan from cod2 before the new skin for cod4
And here it is from same view point with its new skin.
Oh the new streets will run red with blood, i cant wait.
